Ever since proposed units for 40k that I posted long earlier here in Dakkadakka are either unbalanced, doesn't fit at all to 40k fluff, or some combination between of, I post a new units that that either fits into 40k fluff and/or more Balanced as well something new, I present to you Tyranid Technovores(named "Technovore" because they can eats technological devices)

Backstory so far:
it all started by a Forge world that specializes in Nano-robotics lost to an invading Tyranid Hive fleet, once the Hive Fleet of the Tyranid takes over that Forge World, they eats various kinds of Nanobots that the Forge World develops, among them are one that allows Tyranids to eats even purely Mechanical Technologies, and that's how Tyranid Technovore is born

I'm not sure about stats of Technovore themselves, but I'm sure what's their capabilities: they can hijacks enemy vehicles(manned or not) for the Tyranid Army and that's it so far

what's your suggestions for this unit?

it take workarounds to make a crossover between Warhammer 40k and Digimon, Teen Titans, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Happy Tree Friends, Mario, Sonic, and MLP:FIM works

Tyranids can already "eat" technological units. Almost anything can be pushed into a reclamation pool and rendered down to soupy liquid, metals and minerals included. Hive Fleets have use for it all, not just flesh, plant matter and water.

Pyrovores in particular have been recorded slowly eating tanks, fortifications and even chunks of rock. A forge world, with all of its refined metals etc, would be enormously useful to a Hive Fleet because it doesn't have to waste time extracting things from the crust of the world (something they don't usually spend a lot of time on anyway).

I'm not sold on the whole "hijacking" thing; a Tyranid creature consciously driving a vehicle around seems a little out of character.

That said, the idea of a Tyranid feeder beast designed specifically to make a b-line for enemy armour and do something to it to speed up the digestion process (maybe even soften it to the point where Rippers can take a bite) is pretty cool.

Perhaps a creature somewhere between the Pyrovore and Haruspex in size, well armoured with some sort of acid-cannon on its back (torrent flamer with Armourbane, if a vehicle takes a hit, it counts as open-topped from then on). Then, when it gets into melee it may make an additional attack in which it "injects" the target vehicle with an even more potent version of the acid that either inflicts an even stronger Armourbane hit, or has the Melta rule... or something?

I'm unclear on what exactly you're proposing, Masonicon. Do you mean like, a big bug that eats a tank gun and then morphs to have that tank gun? Are we talking some sort of bug that latches onto a vehicle like a parasite and starts driving it? A smaller bug that literally hijacks the vehicle and starts piloting it in the normal fashion (which genestealers sort of kind of already do)? Or something else altogether?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Some combination between what's you're mention and THey work like biovores, except it's for Technological devices
