Apart from 13th BC, I'm looking for some good Necrons vs Chaos fluff.

Know of any?

Look up the Post-Heresy Word Bearer Novels.

Some are glass as glass half-full type of person.

Some are a glass half-empty.

However, if OP is looking for the modern Necrons, I'm pretty sure these books were written before the Newcrons were around.

If your fine with the Daemonic flavor of chaos in the 6th ed daemon book there's a story regarding daemons vs guard vs crons.

I think it may be in the time line

Apparently there was a bit from the 12th Black Crusade as well, although I've not seen it myself aside from the generic Necron Fleet data.

What is it for? Reading it for enjoyment or as source material for a project...?

Necron Codex:

"919.M41 THE DAEMON'S TOMB

The Daemon Prince Shukketh Voidmaw infects the tomb world of Vorketh with the taint of Chaos. Vorketh's regent awakens to find his crypts transformed, and his legions already locked in battle."

I find in interesting that Chaos can infect any of the Necron since they don't really have a soul anymore.

I would argue that it doesn't specifically state that any necrons were infected by chaos, and that only the tomb itself was transformed. After all, if the overlord awoke to find his legions locked in battle, they couldn't have been infected. (At least not all of them) And they could be fighting any number of daemons, rather than their possessed brethren.

The chaos taint could also have been scrapcode that took control of the tomb's Canoptek guardians, meaning you end up with a situation where the Necrons are waking up to find that the robots that are supposed to look after them are instead destroying them.

Also, This.

Per the Dark Heresy books Necrons are one of chaos' most hated enemies, especially Tzeentch, since they cannot be corrupted in any way. Even their bodies are immune to chaos' touch.

Per the Games Workshop studio, Chaos in Dark Heresy isn't trying hard enough.

Actually, the Necrons in that novel are consistent with Newcrons.

Which doesn't make any sense, since even Codex: Necrons doesn't go that far with their supertech. In fact, it seems to suggest that all the dimension-hopping and time-traveling makes them easy prey for the Daemonic.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Dark Heresy has its own rules and realities and problems - incorruptible Necrons, and eye-laser-shooting helmetless sororitas with civilian weapons.
