Hey guys, with the relative simplicity and looseness of AoS, do you think we could see the re-introduction of factions such as the fimir? The trolls are already set aside as a race, though they are obviously more well known, so I think they may get some love. Any thoughts, opinions, senseless rage at AoS?

Yea, but I mean for an entire army, not just one unit.

Well... thats assuming a lot, isn't it? To my knowledge, the Fimir were never quite represented as a society/race/culture/faction that *would* have an army.

Then again, its a whole new world, who knows.

It's been a very, very long time but Fimir absolutely did have an army list. I used to have ~30 Fimir (1 Meargh, 3 Dirachs, 5 Fianna Fiinn, ~20 Fimm Warriors) and there was a list in White Dwarf way back in the day. Not a very viable army, mind you, since they really did seem to be caught between the game designer's idea of a 25mm based unit to basically take the place of Broo with a GW-specific IP and the sculptors efforts which resulted in 40mm based models...

And the WD article included some discussion of Fimir society, etc...

But that's in the WFHB old world. Which no longer exists. So, yeah... There's that...

Not yet.

Won't happen, fimir reproduce by raping females from other species. That isn't the image gw wants anymore (and understandably so).

Disappointing. Aesthetically, the FW models are SEXAY. But by that logic, beastmen could be slashed too.
