Been a while since I posted last. but I do remember a formation for the Imperial Guard Manticore's.
The formation is 3 manticores and a Tech-priest. Now I cant remember the book that the formation was in but I guess it was from a spearhead book back in 5th ed
does anyone remember the book? if so, It will really help me out so that I can look it up again. Eventhough The special rule with the formation was unlimited rockets lol.

For there is peace, There is Chaos.

Thus if im good, I cant be evil. But if im evil, Thus must kill for Blood. |

There were no such thing as regular formations until the end of 6ed. If it came out before 7ed (because the only regular formations from 6ed were for tau, nids, and SM) then it was definitely an apoc formation

Not sure where you get that. The Tempestus Scion book is definitely not an APOC-only book and contains 2 formations. Now most folks would say you needed special permission to play formations prior to 7th, but there were definitely non-APOC formations. The armored formation that came out around the time of the AM book comes to mind as well.

Those are still all at the end of 6ed like I said. The first regular formations showed up in Dec 2013 when they did their digital download december calander and that's where we got Tau Firebase Support Cadre so on and so forth. The MT codex came out in Apr 2014 which is about two months before 7ed came out which is where those two formations come from. The formation the OP is looking for he said was from 5ed, several years before non- apoc formations actually existed. Also what is this "armored formation" you are talking about

To me it looked like a regular formation in 5th ed when formations were starting to come out. I had the 5th ed guard codex at that time.

Like I said, regular formations didn't come out until the end of 6th edition. There were types of formations in 5ed but they were were for expansion play only like Apocolypse or Spearhead
Also I can't even find the formation you are talking about
