So most lists have them using combi melta. However for my Tac Sergeants, can I use a Power Fist as well? The rules seem to allow it, but I am wondering if everyone keeps the PF for their DC.
Just wondering, as I am considering going with close combat termies over my DC, more as an experiment based on this:

That list honestly looks terrible.
You can use a Power Fist, but there's tons of issues that come with it. He can be challenged out, only has one attack without paying 10 more points to become a Veteran, and it's a whole 25 points.
If you want a Power Weapon, stick with a basic Power Weapon. It's a terrible idea as a whole, but at the very least it'll only cost you 15 points.

I agree with how bad the list looks, but the one thing I wonder about is using the assault terms, for survivability. Just a thought. I wouldn't use all those troops (the two squads of 10), and I would use assault marines and use baal preds instead, but DC are so killy in close, so..

Another Idea I had was PS and Inferno Pistol.

Never touch inferno pistols if you want a winner. Fluff-wise, they're hilariously awesome with some of the stuff they can do.
But for winning games - particularly against a skilled opponent with a strong list - it is no very useful at all. If you want melta without taking a combi. grab some melta-bombs.

The only upgrades I ever use on my tac sgts are either a combi to match the special in a squad, or a pair of hand flamers to go with a heavy flamer. The akimbo hand flamers is actually hilariously killy.

Sound advice right here. Dual hand flamers are quite pointy for my taste, but can really help ruin a charge if you have 4xD3 hits of various strenghts...

That, and being able to flop 3 templates down on a unit after hopping out of a razorback is pretty good. You shred through things like guardians, orks, gants, guardsmen, etc. And the high number of hits means you can still put wounds on MEQs. At 20 points, it IS expensive, but worth it. And it costs significantly less than a power fist or power sword vet sgt.
