What are the chances that ITC will allow the supremacy kx-139 into tournaments? The suit does have great fire power and durability but it does have some weaknesses (gravs and cc).

Well it has some pretty nerfable options. Remove the D option and limit it to the Apocalyptic Barrage version and you have a modest (or atleast as far as anything goes these days) Titan equivalent. There will be more than a few armies that just have no answer, but I don't think it will cause such a huge ripple in the tournament scene. I'm sure that there will be something even more mind blowing to address when the actual codex comes out.

It's not that great. I think a decent amount of armies do have answers. To many eggs in one basket that crumples under just the right pressure. And a decent amount of armies have that pressure. sorry man. Tau aren't meant to be good, even via forge world. Their the kick around mascot

The ITC doesn't allow Titans or Gargantuan Creatures of any kind in their tournaments.

Wraithknight is one example though.

Wraithknight, Heirodule, Gargantuan Squiggoth are all on the list of things that can be taken.

Removing the D option on its weapon basically cuts this guys fire power in half. Beside they allowed the lynx to be in their tournaments. The lynx is a little over 2/3 the cost of kx-139 and has 2 S large blast and can self TL itself 36'' (pre-craftworld codex). For durability, it has the titan holo-fields and is usually fielded on top of a skyshield. In terms of firepower the kx-139 is slightly superior and both are very durable units. So, I do believe they should allow this beautiful monstrosity in the ITC tournaments

Incorrect, they allow a variety of superheavies

The only ones they restrict tend to have blasts larger than Large, or large blasts with ignore cover

You're right, I forgot about that. I was thinking of NOVA.

Still, the Supremacy Mech is 600 points and has the approximate durability of a Warhound Titan. It has a D-strength ranged blast weapon. All of these are things that normally disqualify units in the ITC. For example, all Baneblade variants are allowed with the exception of the Shadowsword.

One thing that a lot of people get wrong with ITC events is that the rules that we come up with only apply to our own tournaments, i.e Las Vegas Open and Bay Area Open. All other ITC events can choose to modify and ignore any parts of the ITC format that they wish as long as they score the event in a way that is compatible with our data entry. Key point I myself will be attending an ITC 2 day tournament in Sacramento, CA the first weekend of October and not only do they allow un-modified Invisibility but they are also running book Maelstrom missions. Each ITC event is different and each TO decides what they will and will not allow, not FLG.

I think the bigger question is whether ITC and others will revisit their nerf on invisibility in light of more and more things (D-scythes were the first) that invisibility is the only defense against.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

That would be nice.

I hope they never do. Clarifying that Flamers/Novas/Beams/Automatic Hits are not affected and reducing units to BS1 instead of Snap Shots is the best way I've seen people handle Invisibility. I would rather them eliminate ranged D altogether. Just say that Eldar D-weapons use the old 6th edition Distort Rules. Melee D is easier to deal with, and I think their revised table for it handles it well.

So it's come to this, lol. The problem with this is that it is the same logic employed by Seymour Skinner when explaining to Bart how they would get rid of the bird egg eating lizards. Hopefully that reference isn't too obscure.

Exalted for truth. The ITC has really done a good job with trying to balance the tournament scene with their ruleset. I still wouldn't want to try to go out and win one though.

@ TheNewBlood, mate the shadowsword is allowed.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Damn. Seems I'm not as familiar with the ITC units restrictions as I though I was.

0 chance. IIRC they were talking on a podcast and said it wouldn't be allowed.

Yupp confirmed on last podcast that they wont we allowing it, just as they don't allow any other titans. And lets face it this is a titan masquerading as a normal LOW
