Hi guys,

got a little Problem here. I'm going to use the XV109 Y'vahra battlesuit in a game tomorrow but I got a problem with the Vectored Thrust Array.
The rule states that the model may choose to move as though it was a swooping monstrous creature for that phase.
Problem is that I own the German version of the BRB and the Tau codex....and the rules for the Y'vahra are in english.
Sooo how does a swooping monstrous creature move?

12 to 24 inches?

Thanks for the help.

Cutter

Yes, swooping is akin to a flyer "zooming" - is not moving as a skimmer.

Similar to, but just as close to being a Super-Jump. It's shorter than a Vehicle Zoom, but is still Hard To Hit like the Flyer. There are a few other differences, too.

Even if you have the German Rulebook, the rules for a Flying Monstrous Creature should be in there. Swooping is the entry that does not match directly with a Jump Monstrous Creature and moves farther than Jump provides. I don't know the German names, sorry, but a local Tyranid or Chaos player should help you know where to look, specifically.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

Does it say "as though it was a swooping monstrous creature"?

Because they probably mean Flying monstrous creature that is in the swooping mode of movement.

Thanks for your replies.

I will look up the section in my BRB, thanks charistoph.

@deathreaper : the rules say "...a y'vahra battlesuit may choose to move as though it was a Swooping Monstrous Creature for that phase...."

Thanks again

Edit: I think i just found the German equivalent. I think it means "Gleitflug".
