Subject: Is the Tyranid part of Deathstorm worth buying the entire starter box?

My local GW happens to have a few Deathstorm boxes left, and I was wondering if the Tyranids included in the box is worth the entire box as the BAs aren't worth that much on the market right now.
Tyranids included in Deathstorm:
1 Broodlord
8 Genestealers
3 Tyranid Warriors
1 Carnifex
Monetarily, the above Tyranids are worth more than the MSRP of the Deathstorm box by themselves. But, I didn't know if they were worth it. I could use the Warriors and probably the Carnifex, but I'm not sure how good the Genestealers and Broodlord would be.
Thanks in advance

Does it come with the 7th rulebook? If you need one, try to get a buddy to go in with you and split the cost. Otherwise, you could probably buy the Nidz portion off eBay for about half the Deathstorm price.
Honestly, Broodlords and Genestealers are fun, but really only good in large groups, and even then are poor compared to the cheaper Hormagaunts. Genestealers die very, VERY quickly without cover or FNP. Even Bolters negate your armor.
Again, they're a cool unit, and if you can throw Infiltrate/Scout on them, you can mess around with Outflank or Infiltrate and Turn 2 Assaults, but still, they're rather overpriced.
TL;DR: Try and get the Nidz cheaper on eBay. Feel free to use the Genestealers, but know they are overpriced and die without cover quickly.

Do you play Tyranids?
If so, yeah. It's a good buy. The rules for the Cryptus stuff are pretty nice--and each of them were basically made to be "new" units for a Tyranid player to add in to their army.

Yes, I do play Nids. So far, I have bought the Wrath of the Hive Mind and Tyranid Swarm boxes for a total of 120 models (in the process of painting them now).
From those boxes, I have:
1 Tervigon
1 Flying Hive Tyrant
1 Carnifex
3 Tyranid Warriors
60 Termagants
40 Hormagaunts
10 Gargoyles
7 Ripper Swarms
So, I was considering adding on to it with some formations that call for Genestealers and a Broodlord.
