Planning to paint up a resin model; it's been cleaned and is ready to paint.

Got a can of the new gold spray, but not sure how to proceed. Black undercoat first, or full speed ahead with the gold?

Thanks in advance, have never used this spray before.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

I would go full speed with the gold. I've been using the new leadbelcher as my base (silver instead of gold) on my stormcast eternals, and it has been working beautifully. I expect the gold will work the same.

I am new to all of this but so far I have found the Retributor Armour spray and pot paint look better over a black spray primer than when sprayed directly on bare plastic.

It's paint, not primer. So prime first, then use the Retributor spray.

Spray paint will adhere to bare plastic, but it will be more vulnerable to rubbing off than if applied over primer.

Yes, those were the instructions either in the White Dwarf or on the website, I forget which -- undercoat first.
