I've been working on my Storm Wing for over a year now. Mostly because of pure laziness but it's finally battle ready. I'm fairly happy with the results so I thought I'd show it off a little.

The mods on the Raven were done to streamline it a little bit. Mods include: the wings being cut off and relocated to a more normal looking appearance, all flaps cut out and reattached to add a little realism, a rhino rear door added to the front and then trimmed down to accommodate a marine gunner and a twin linked heavy bolter, the weapon portion of the nose covered up, the top smoothed down and a hatch added, assault cannons from forgeworld added in place of the bulky turret, missile pods removed and exchanged for IG sentinel missiles, and one of the most annoying things GW did got corrected in the form of Talon thrusters to cover up the hover thrusters that looked like intakes. No clue who came up with that design but I needed it fixed before it hit the table and the new thrusters look way better in my opinion.

Mods to the Talons are pretty simple. They were part of a trade with a Blood Angel player that did a very poor job during assembly and they were painted dark red. Mods include: the overly bulky assault cannons were ditched for some Marine Speeder assault cannons, the big boxes on the sides were ditched for a pair of IG missiles, and the over sized tail section was chopped down and smoothed out. The missiles still need some wash added in those recesses I know. They get pulled out for battle and I remember that they need to be done. Then put em up after the battle and forget about em. They're left out on the table to be added to the list of to-do's!

The trio ready for battle!

Any thoughts either positive or negative are welcome. I hope those who see this enjoy.

The windshields were painted with Tamiya stop light red metallic paint, then backed with silver. All of that was done on the inside with an airbrush. The interior was completely screwed up from the previous owner so they needed to be painted.

Not keen on the open heavy bolter port... I think that would look better with some sort of ball turret mount.

Otherwise, looking cool.

And the heat-discolouration on the assault cannon barrels is fantastic.
