The pose is a little awkward... looks like he's about to topple over backwards. And the banner is impressive, but possible a little large - it sort of distracts attention from the actual model.

The yellow with the weathering is superb, though.

The flag reminds me of a naziwar banner from WW2 with the red and white circle and the Tytum on top

I really like the dread and the gritty worn look.
The banner though, take away the attention from the awesome dread.
All in all its really well done, but the highly impractical huge banner looks out of place, especially with the "no nonsense" approach of the IF

There is no nazi reference, the color shame was taken from GW arts...

I think they're referring the Iron Cross on the top right of the banner.

It's a military badge from the Prussian Empire, later adopted by Germany. It was phased out for a while, then reintroduced by Nazi Germany. Calling it a Nazi symbol, and thereby ignoring the long, colourful history of it, is about as accurate as saying any heraldic eagle (such as the Imperial Aquila) is a Nazi symbol due to the appearance of one on the National Socialist Party emblem.

So don't worry, you've done no wrong.

All of what I see on that model reflects the Iconography of the Imperium and Imperial Fists especially.

Your colour scheme and use of symbols is spot on for a HH-ish era Imperial fists contemptor, the weathering is fantastic. But I agree with insaniak that the banner it a bit big, still awesome, but might be better with an infantry sized figure holding it.

I have a contemptor and love the kit, when I get around to painting it (Imperial Fists as well) I hope I can give it a paint job half as good as that.

Superb work! Love the banner and the mini, and honestly I don't think either overshadows the other.

It's a black templars cross, if you see a nazi cross there, I'm sorry, but you know nothing about Warhammer 40k.







I know that nazi were using a similar cross but its a Templar cross, not WH Black Templar, historic Templar:

In my opinion, i'ts very inappropriate to say that someone, especially from Russia(20mln Russians gave their lives to stop the nazi monster), used a nazi cross on a mini when clearly, its a warhammer symbol ...

It looks stunning, very dominating, awesome weathering will have try similar techniques! great job!

I love the model, though I would have had the Dreadnought holding the standard.

IF, I find, are hard to paint because of the cursed yellow. But you did a great job on it. Weathering is not over done, OSL on the claw looks good and the melta barrels look amazing.
