This Kickstarter will allow Diehard Miniatures to fund production of 9 Oldhammer fantasy factions, each of which will have 6 miniatures, tiered from small to large. Our funding level will start with the first 3 figures (warrior, spell caster and ogre sized character), once we hit our target it will unlock the stretch goal levels. It is then down to you to see how far we can push these goals and unlock more beautifully crafted models! Freebies will also be interspersed throughout the stretch goals!

All the models featured here will be high quality, pewter castings. Most will be multiple part models that will require assembly. Some of the larger models (most figures that come on the final tier) will be cast in resin to reduce weight.

A quick disclaimer: All models will come with basic plastic slotted bases, and will be unpainted. Bases shown with the painted figures have been supplied courtesy of Fenris Games.

Listed below are the nine factions. The first three figures in each faction are the funding level figures. Once funded the stretch goal figures will be released as each goal is hit. More detailed descriptions will be given as each goal is reached.

Eru-Kin: Warrior, Tech Mage, Troglodyte. Stretch Goals: Eru-Kin on Frost Blood (lizard mount), Troglosaurus, Tezcacoutl (Winged Serpent).

Goblinoids: Orc Warrior, Goblin Caster, Troll. Stretch Goals: Orc on beast mount, Orc War Beast, Orc Wyvern Rider.

Undead: Skeletal Knight, Necromancer, Undead Minotaur. Stretch Goals: Liche Lord on Shattered Mount, Undead Construct, Skeletal Giant.

Humans: Knight, Wizard, Hillsman (Half Giant). Stretch Goals: Knight on War Horse, Cannon and crew, Giant.

Chaotic: Warrior, Wizard, Chaos Ogre. Stretch Goals: Chaos Knight on Hell Steed, x2 Snakemen, Abyssal Dragon.

Bestiary: Hawkman, Harpy, Dwarf Centaur. Stretch Goals: Manticore, Jabberwocky, Lesser Spined Dragon.

Dwarf: Dwarf Fighter, Gnome Warcaster, Bound Ethereal. Stretch Goals: Dwarf on Mountain Goat, Gnome on Stone Golem Construct, Cave Dweller and handlers.

Wood Elf: Warrior, Sorceress, Giant Elk. Stretch Goals: Elf Princess riding a Dryadic Wood Dragon, Treeman, Cyclopean Forest Giant.

Dark Elf: Fighter, Sorcerer, Under Wyrm. Stretch Goals: Dark Elf on Lizard Mount, Shadow Beast, Ebon Dragon.

Excellent looking figures.....

I wish they had a game for these fantasy guys..... Oh wait.

I really miss this game.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Space lizards!

Pretty neat and classic looking stuff.

A bit pricier than I would like them to be unfortunately.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Yeah, that was my take. 12 pounds for two hero figures is premium pricing. I'm not saying they don't deserve it, but a bit much for an impulse buy.

that Eru-Kin Tech Mage is awesome!!!

i have to say, Tim's sculpting is getting better and better...
i was such a huge fan of his painting as an 'Eavy Metal studio member, but his early sculpts didn't do much for me...
i bought his Reaper Thor to have a real look at his work, and wasn't inspired enough to paint it...
these guys, on the other hand, look like he has kicked it up a notch...

a few of the sculpts, like the Human Knight and Wizard still look like his Reaper sculpting ten years ago, but others, like the Skeletal Knight and Eru-Kin Warrior and Troglodyte look to be on par with Avatars of War (i believe Tim has done a sculpt or two for them)...
that Orc, Goblin, and Troll are delightfully old school...

anyone know who this concept artist is???
never heard of "B", but i like his style...

thanks for sharing...

cheers

That "B" on the artwork is an R and L, for Richard Luong. The dude who did all the Cthulhu Wars illustrations.

The concept artist is Richard Luong (https://www.facebook.com/TentaclesandTeeth?fref=ts) who did the art and concept work for the Cthulhu Wars game/KS (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1816687860/cthulhu-wars?ref=nav_search) the monogram is actually a combined RL rather than a B, he's also just run his own KS for a fancy art book featuring his Cthulhu Wars artwork (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/786059328/cthulhu-wars-the-art-of-richard-luong)

Hi guys,
Let me say a big thank you for those who have backed us or will soon. We are very passionate about this project and I think it shows in our sculpts. I really hope this goes all the way as we have some really cool stuff up our sleeves. Should we not fund, we will not be giving up, plans are in motion to make sure these figures will see the light of day. Pretty much all the sculpts for the funding level are sculpted, and 5 factions are already moulded, so we have put the time and effort in already. Take a look at the KS page and help us make this project happen!

update

Update #2 Oct 12 2015

Add Ons, how do they work?

Our ‘Add Ons’ have been designed to help you add to your initial pledge. Some people are happy to buy one faction, while others want it all. But for those in the middle Add Ons can help you pick exactly what you are after. If you have pledge £25 or higher then Add Ons are now open for you to pick from, all you have to do is amend your pledge and add the cost of the miniature/s to your amount, and there are no limits on how many miniatures you can buy. Once the Kickstarter has finished, we will send you a survey to find out exactly what you have on your goodies list. Once funded, each stretch goal we hit will unlock more miniatures to buy through Add Ons.

I'm in for the Eru-Kin tech-mage and soldier.

Whether this funds or not, anything I can do to help inspire Prow to sculpt more Eru-Kin is a good thing. It's been great to see how popular that Tech-mage is; so far as I can tell, it's attracted more interest than any other sculpt in the campaign. It also represents what I'd love to see Prow tackle in the future - Space Slaan before the fall, with their advanced technology intact, sculpted to a higher standard than the old classic frogmen.

Yes, the tech-mage is still a hybrid of high tech and primitive make-do, but he has more working, sophisticated tech than just about any other Frogman mini I've ever seen, and comes about as close to Space Slaan as we've ever gotten. I hope the popularity of that sculpt will inspire more work in that direction.

If I had one request, it would be that Prow consider releasing the Tech-mage in resin in the future. It's pretty much the signature piece of the line so far, and obviously very popular. Size-wise it doesn't require resin, but I think as a stand-out piece it could justify being sold as a boutique resin as well as the standard metal. I'd rather buy it in resin, myself. Just my two cents.

Update #4:

Snakemen are coming!!

It has been mentioned more than once, so we thought we should show you what will be coming straight after the mounted character stretch goals. These guys will be part of the Chaos Faction. Both are 40mm tall.
