So like, if your in the store and you're not going to paint or play, is there still stuff to do there?

What do you do at the grocery store when you aren't buying food? A GW store is just a store. You go there, you buy stuff, and you leave. I have no idea why you'd want to be there if you don't have a specific purpose to accomplish.

Yes, of course! You could always read or talk to the people there. There's always interesting thjngs to learn.

There's the whole social, meet, talk, argue, talk, leave thing that you can do most anywhere that like minded people congregate.

A vital part of the community equation that a lot of recent GW managers seem to have forgotten.

In my local one you get asked (politely) to leave.

Hang out, watch games, wait for tables, talk to the shop manager (our local GW shop manager is awesome), talk with other players. Socialize in general.

Watch games and chat really. Don't always have time for a game and don't always have something to buy.

There are no GW stores in Bulgaria. There is only one board game club that sells GW stuff.

Last one I went into, I and my friends got kicked out for not playing a game. The whole point of us going in had been to book a table.

This is why I'm glad I have a club at a massive hobby warehouse store. They stock as much as a GW and if you're not interested in buying GW there's a jillion more things to look at. And they're happy to stack some crates if it's a really heavy day at the club so everyone can play.
