Ok, I've made a quick Rebel list based only on what I have and what I like. Quite possibly, it's garbage. Let's see though.
Tycho Celchu (39)
-Push The Limit
-Proton Rockets
-Hull Upgrade
-Shield Upgrade
"Hobbie" Klivian (31)
-Flechette Torpedoes
-R2-D6
-Push The Limit
Red Squadron Pilot (28)
-Flechette Torpedoes
-R2-F2
Comes out at 98pts. It's pretty upgrade-heavy but I couldn't really fit a 4th ship in unless it was Tycho and 3 generic X-Wings with very minor upgrades. Would that be a better option?

You can't put two Modifications on an A-wing, and the best one is probably Autothrusters.
The X-wings are just too expensive. Thirty one points for a PS 5 X-wing way too much and twenty eight points for one X-wing is a waste as well. You can drop that one X-wing with questionable upgrades for two Z-95s or two A-wings with Chardaan Refit.
Try something like this:
Tycho Celchu (26)
Push the Limit (3)
Wired (1)
Autothrusters (2)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)
Wedge Antilles (29)
Predator (3)
BB-8 (2)
Hull Upgrade (3)
Prototype Pilot (17)
Chardaan Refit (-2)
Prototype Pilot (17)
Chardaan Refit (-2)
Total: 99

It's not going to set the world on fire, but it's better than the original list. Also, you could drop Hull Upgrade from Wedge and have enough points to put Autothrusters on the generic A-wings.

I quite like Tarn, Luke and Wedge, in the original X-Wing pilots. They may not be the most efficient points-wise, but they're fun. Their abilities come up all the time.
Poe and the upcoming Red Ace (with a comms relay, r2-D2 and a shield upgrade) are really nice for their points.
I'm just really not sold on the A-wing, period. Survivable? Yes. Pizzazz? Not enough, in my eyes. Even if you do give it proton rockets, it's relegated to harrasser/decoy status.

BLASPHEMY!!!!!!
seriously though, I just played a tournament on the weekend and A-wings were the heroes of the day. Dash was left looking like a 10hp Z-95 while the A-wings were one-shotting the likes of Cracken and Serissu with prockets.
Basically, I A-wings

Removing a ship from the table is not "harassing". Sure, once the rockets are gone its primary weapon isn't that great, but the lists a-wing primary weapons struggle most with (Fel, Corran, etc) tend to be the lists that are most vulnerable to having an expensive ship blown away with a proton rocket. If you aren't facing lists that bring an ace with lots of green dice and stacking defensive abilities then you're probably going to be able to kill stuff with the a-wing's primary weapon.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |
