Hey everyone,

Firstly, I LOVE Age of Sigmar. I also love writing and making up stories for my miniatures.

For those not familiar with my Age of Sigmar blog (found here). I am currently putting together a 30 model force called "Siegfried's Desperados" (under GW's School League rules, which our store uses). My force comprises of 4 different factions currently: Free Peoples (Empire), Duardin (Dwarf), Aelves (High Elves), and Death (Vampire counts).

Obviously there must be some story as to why this motley crew are fighting together? I decided to go up and beyond this time and created my own Battletome!

It's 8 pages in total. 6 pages of fluff, 2 pages of reference tables, and then the plan is to add all my Warscrolls to the back. The background text is short but hopefully has lots of flavor. I have added my own spin to Azyrheim, and the Humans, Aelves and Duardin that live within. Making the city one that is dark and full of corruption. It also comes together as a narrative for my army and explains what they are up to.

Hopefully it'll catch the eye of my opponents in my local GW next time I go in for a game. :-P

Anyway, please see the Battletome below. I spoilered all the pictures as they are quite large. I would love any feedback! And if you have created your own Battletome, why not post it here too?

This is an awesome idea!

You now have me thinking what Battletome I could do (oh for 48 hours in a day...). Maybe start compiling all the info in the novels and do Battletome: Hallowed Knights. Or Battletome: Aleguzzlers...

As for yours... Well, I might suggest you forge ahead and make it a full size book - you have already done 8 pages, so it might not be too much work to get it up to 80-odd. A three Battleplan campaign with narrative, a 'hobby' section of your force, which will also serve to show others what miniatures to use, the four page rules sheet at the end... You would soon get there!

And when you have the full thing, do this;

That's great feedback! I'll definitely add a hobby section, I haven't quite finished all the miniatures yet but I am 95% there. Page 4 and page 5 feature two of my miniatures already :-)

I would love to add some campaign battles, and now you have my brain spinning with ideas... The Desperados being hunted by Exiled Aelf Assassins tracking down the Princess, a 3 way battle where they are stuck between Nurgle and Stormcast going at full pelt and need to get across the board in one piece, a wizard show down where Cornacaprious finally goes rogue and the other two wizards try to put a stop to him....

Maybe not 80 pages, but I am sure I can reach 20!

Also getting it professionally printed would be a dream! I bet it is expensive though...

Depends how silly you want to get

If you want ten copies of full colour hardbacks with the spot UV lamination (where you get both gloss and matt on the front cover, like GW's Codexes), then it might be a trifle high.

However, softback binding, even with full colour (think of matching the book in the starter set), is going to be rather reasonable, even for just a single copy - you'll pay more than you would for the equivalent book from GW, but it is going to be unique

And then you can have it sitting on your shelf among all the official AoS books...

Stop tempting me!

Having my own Age of Sigmar book in softback would be a dream. It would actually be my first Age of Sigmar book as I haven't bought any others :-p (which will no doubt change once Death and Free Peoples are released).

If you have any experience with UK services, I am open to suggestion :-)

What's left of Cadia

Simply epic. I would actually buy this battletome and play with it, the fluff is just great. Amazing work

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
