If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.
Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.
Sorry, but Turp-a-Durp is an absolutely massive tax-and-spend Liberal. His advisors are the same morons who've led Ontario to the point that our average salary is now 5% below the national average. (where beforehand it was more than 10% above the national average)
Federal Libs are not the same as Provincial Libs. Trust me. I live in BC. BC Libs are blind hardline Neo-Con scum. Name-calling is fun!
I know he's "promised" to balance to budget in his 4th year, but trust me, it won't happen... Like our fearless McWynnty government, Ju$tin will never meet a tax dollar he won't be able to piss away.
You cant's spend a country rich!
Pretending to balance the budget by selling off our national assets at pennies on the dollar and playing shell games with our EI money isn't a balanced budget. That the Cons have a rep as fiscally responsible is a mystery to me. I suppose if a lie is repeated often enough...
There is nothing good to come from a national leader who's only job experience is a few years as damn Drama teacher...
Better than a national leader who's only job experience is a few years as a damn Mailroom Clerk.
Honestly, I am surprised that the Libs won so handily. On issues that actually MATTER, like TTP, C-51, corporate cronyism, P3 boondoggles, and our destructive addiction/enslavement to the oil and gas sector, the Libs and Cons are incomplete accord. It's only on cosmetic non-issues like weed and headscarves that there is any dissent.
If we Canadians actually want Real Change (tm), then the NDP and the Greens are the parties to lead the way forwards. Fact.
We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".
“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”
The boy king is going to legalize pot, can we all agree that legalizing a plant and taxing it is a good thing? Colorado seems to be doing quite well.
Also, think of all the money saved in the policing and imprisonment of pot dealers/growers/distributors by not wasting time and money fighting a losing battle.
Justin comes off a bit precious, effete and a little over sensitive but I much prefer him to Harper.
All we need now is to get Marc Emery a seat in cabinet, minister of good vibes.

...if we could also please dial down the hate, hyperbole and ridiculous statements?
Oh, and how about hoping someone can cure cancer instead?
I know right.
We are seeing something almost never seen before. Canadians being...impolite. Mark this day gentlemen, mark this day.
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

It will be hard to quantify any achievements of the Harper administration because he cancelled the mandatory long form census in 2010 and instituted a voluntary survey instead. It was rammed through into law under the guise that a census is too "intrusive" and the mandatory nature violates the rights of citizens. Not only was Statistics Canada against this move (The Government misrepresented the plan as coming from Statistics Canada leading the head statistician to protest and resign as a result), business and civic groups were also largely against this move. It cost taxpayer money to deploy this new system and data from the voluntary survey is largely unusable as there is no way to weight the results to bring it in line with the previously collected census data (last in 2006)
I find it hard to believe that this sad state wasn't the intended result from the start. We now have an entire census cycle that collected useless data and there will be a large data gap for the entirety of the Conservative's roughly 10 years in power.
Both the Liberals and the NDP campaigned on reinstating the mandatory long form.

Are you ever going to contribute meaningfully to the topic? Or are you planning on just waiting it out and throwing in the occasional prostate cancer or hostile regime comment?

Mostly just having fun, not sure how I'm supposed to "contribute" to the thread?

To be completely fair with our new king, Harper was a Hawk who seemed to feel that Canada was a superpower proportional to our landmass, as opposed to one of the (previously) leading specialists in soft power, who could lend a small number of superb soldiers to a cause if really needed. So some of our current alliances are playing to a wannabe fascists power fantasies instead of reality.

Yeah, heaven forbid you listen to the "father of modern linguistics" talk about stuff. What the hell would an MIT professor know?
Chomsky's only motivation in life is hatred of the West writ large, and the US in particular. He's an odious human being who rests on the laurals of academia from decades ago and uses them as a platform of supposed legitimacy in order to undermine the society around us.

Tell me I'm wrong. Seriously.
What does Social Libertarianism and Anarcho-Syndicalism have to do with Liberal values?
