I don't agree. It's just one shot that can scatter (even at BS5 you'll miss here and there) and you can wiff the roll.
CIR, on the other hand, fire 6 shots. At BS5 you'll hit 5; S7 against rear armor is already good enough (very few vehicles have more than AV11 behind) - you'll have many more penetration rolls than just 1 melta.
As Vineheart said, if it were 2-3 melta shots, I'd field it. A single melta blast... meh.

Yep, the melta option was good if it was a large blast, or multiple shots.
As it is, it just does not match the raker. S7Ap4 is nothing special for tau, but its just more efficient on the ghost.

Better as in better than it was base, not better than the Raker.
You're basically writing how you disagree with me having roughly the same opinion as you.
