Apologies if there is another thread, but as of today GW has reshuffled the race/factions to their AoS equivalent, and all Lizardmen models have been removed.

There is also no category for the 'Seraphon' which is what the Lizardmen were supposedly meant to be in the new fluff

R.I.P Lizardmen, gone the way of Squats 23/10/2015

They are gone from NZ site, the only thing remaining are warscrolls.

Who knows why. probably discovering ancient tech on mars with their fleet.

Thanks for pointing it out This is exactly 1 week before they are going to be re-released - like all reboxings since Necrons they pull the sets and they come back with new boxes and different bases.

We will not be save from tons of hyperbole clickbait articles on the usual sites until then for sure :(

Same with the US site.

I don't know why I missed this before but Pestilens is a separate faction instead of just being Skaven. Wonder what it will look like after they're done with the whole renaming of all the races/factions.

It's Monday morning info theft time! From Warseer:

Quick update from the WD in case it wasn't posted before (I didn't follow that thread and I see too much text to read on my screen for my own sanity):

- Repackaging, no new models. They didn't put a list with prices in the WD but I don't think there is a reason for any box to have a different price than usual (except maybe the Temple Guards? They are now 15 in the box, were there that much in the past?). Thing is, from the boxes pictures in the WD I am under the impression that some models haven't been repackaged (The Triceratops I don't remember seeing, the Skink Priest is also the only clampack shown, thought don't quote me on that one I just glanced at the page). There is also a big box that I didn't even notice before looking at the list at the end of the WD, I think it's a set of big monsters.

- A Battletome, cheaper than the previous ones (price of a regular old army book). Also available in limited edition.

There are 1000 LE books if I remember correctly. Speaking of memory, let's activate it so that I try to remember the boxes I've seen in the WD:
- The T-Rex
- The Bastiladon (hey I remember a LM monster name!)
- Skinks (24 models)
- Saurus (20 models)
- Surprisingly the Saurus Knights (8 models)
- Temple Guards (15 models)
- Skink Starpriest (Destiny has Wizards from the moon, AoS has priests from the stars!)

That's all I remember for now.

That was not an in depth review of the WD (it sounded more like an elderly trying to remember something far too old) but it's better than nothing I suppose.

A whole battletome to the Seraphon will probably give us the most interesting AoS fluff to date.

I wonder if they'll move the races across one by one like this?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Ah, nuts.

I knew it wasn't going to be a wholesale re-scultping but I really hoped we would get just one new box, preferably of the core infantry - my problem is that, at the moment, I still see these guys as Aztec lizards rather than celestial-goodly-daemons.

Maybe the Battletome will give me a through line there - if so, this could be the most interesting Battletome thus far.

If not... well, nuts.

Apparently we are getting one more AoS release slot before/just after/around Christmas. Anyone able to confirm that?

I was thinking about this. Let's look what is left;

Dwarfs - I think these guys may be up next, based on absolutely nothing concrete. Not a port, but starting from scratch.

Elves - Same here, but we have to wait, Got a feeling this will be a major push along the storyline, tied into Slaanesh. Possible theory: it won't be the Stormcasts that have the Order/Chaos traitor split like Space Marines, but the Elves...

Orcs - You know, I think we are going to get a lot of new sculpts here rather than a simple port. The 'current' plastics are looking a bit tired and, of all the races, Orcs are a prime candidate for bigger, beefier models on 32mm bases. The flip side... I don't think models like the Arachnarok Spider are going anywhere, so goblins will stay the same.

Ogors - Not part of any massive storyline (yet), thinking these guys will be a simple port.

Undead - Had a lot of love in the End Times, so new models are out, I am guessing. Got a feeling they will follow more along the lines of Counts rather than Kings, so maybe some box sets actually disappear? After all, how many types of Skeleton Warriors do we really need? We have also had a fair bit of fiction set in the Realm of Death, so thinking these guys are fairly close to a port.

Chaos - We can pray for a separate Battletome for each God, culminating in Slaanesh, with links to 40k along the way. I also think we may be waiting for a while longer, but you never know. The Tzeentch rumours keep popping up...

Other Chaos - It would be nice to think that Chaos Warriors are getting replaced with faction-specific models (a la Blood Warriors), but that may be wishful thinking, and the Blight Kings sort of take up that slot themselves (but then again, Skullreapers exist alongside Blood Warriors...). Been messing around with Beastmen of late and their plastics seem fairly solid - guessing they will be a simple port as well.

Normal Humans - I don't think the Bretonnians are going to happen, and I think the Empire is gone. However, individual models could be saved, especially if they are Sigmar-centric (War Altar, flagellants, etc). However, room for something brand new here...

Skaven - Clearly knocking about in the fluff, but think these will be a straight port. On the other hand, the current Clanrats are a bit 'tired', so maybe...

Aleguzzlers - I think these are. frankly, an awesome army (a bunch of drunk giants flailing across the battlefield towards the enemy - what is not to like?), but how many models do you need, really?

So, my prediction base on really not much at all, brand new stuff across the board for Dwarfs and Elves (however long we wait for them), ports for everything else in the short/medium term, with maybe some new Orcs.
