I have an old imperial Knight kit which due to real life issues I have yet to assemble. I would like to get a hold of the other weapon options ect so I can magnetize them all and run whatever variant I wish. The problem is I can't seem to find any of the bits at reasonable prices. At the prices I am seeing for them I might as well just buy a new kit and just use the old one for bits unless I can find I place that sells the bits at a reasonable price. Does anyone know a place I can get them and not have to pay $25+ for a single weapon?

You could always try to trade in your untouched IK to the local store and pay the difference for the newer version. Comparing the 2 versions, the whole new spruce cost 17 dollars.

Unfortunately that is not an option. My local store had to close it's doors. So that is not an option. If the store was still open I know I would't have any trouble doing this.

Failing that, you could always get the new one and with the spare weapons end up with two fully kitted out Knights. Probably less useful if you intended to magnetise, but if not then you get useful stuff for the kit you have by buying the new one as well.

That might be my best option since I can't use all the variants/upgrades at the same time on one knight. Might have to splurge for one of the upgrades on the top carpace though since I forsee using str8 one more than the others. I need a few more knights anyway. And maybe I will throw some money here and there to get all the upgrade pieces eventually so I don't feel so ocd about it.

If the demand is high for knight bits then why don't you buy a knight kit, take the weapons that you need and recoup your costs on ebay selling off the rest of the kit.
I'm not sure exactly what bits you need so can't quite work out the maths for you but it's a strategy that works well with most GW kits.

That might work. I will have to look into it.

I had bought the original kit and it sat for a while.
Now I bought the new kit and am having a heck of a time figuring out how I want to share the bits.
I hate to say I think the "sweet spot" for being able to use some formations you want 2 new kits and one old.

I appreciate the offer, but I think I got it figured out. I have a friend who bought the kit for the the pieces for a conversion and he doesn't want the weapon upgrades other than the the base stuff. We will either switch kits or I will take his parts. I just have to drive down to his house and play a game of 40k with him once I get my knight army built.
