With the 'not Ork' Ork infantry almost available (hopefully) as well as the expanded vehicle selection from Troublemaker games/Vanguard and my Marine list getting a little stale, I have decided to build myself another green (or in this case red) tide. As my once mighty Epic collection is now sadly reduced most of this list will be from Vanguard, all I have at the moment are the Gunwagons and a couple of Speedstas and a handful of infantry.

I'm fortunate that my club plays more games of Epic than anything else, its even possible to get pick up games....

Why are all the good gaming groups so far from where I live?

Wow!...I wish I knew that many people who play Epic. My local game store (roughly 20 km away) has no one. Unless you count me.

I'm trying to change that though. I want to get other people interested and hopefully have them become regular players.

My eventual goal is to get some tournaments going so more interest gets generated and people get motivated to start painting and terrain making.

Last Sunday there were 2 games of Epic, some Necromunda games and a game of Batman. Our Mordheim campaign appears to have unfortunately petered out.

Makes me want to move to Great Britain!

Over here its star wars mini's, 40k, and bolt action.

Oh how I wish I had a game store to play all the awesome old GW games! I have one friend that will play them with me but that gets old. It's amazing how good all the GW unsupported games are VS there 2 main games. My personal favorite battle fleet gothic and mordheim.

Mekboy Speedsta and some Gunwagonz.. 8 down, 100 or so to go....

Looking good. Turning up with 2 armies and terrain is easily doable in 6mm for those who want a group at their club.......

This is a damn fine suggestion. Now I can't argue that I have insufficient storage space to collect more, I don't have two 5k point EA armies!

One of the guys at my club has a Marine army comprised almost entirely of Terminators and Landraiders, I will outnumber him at least 10 to 1

These guys are quick to paint though, its the infantry that will be annoying.

Does he use the LR as transports for the termies? They do have teleport....

My remaining Gunwagonz, Speedsta and a handful of Buggys. This is all I have currently available and as my little man fund is going to be taken up with the Dropfleet KS I won't be doing much with this until after Christmas (unless Santa is good to me).

There are few things easier to paint than Epic Ork vehicles (unless you are mad enough to cover them in dags...)

I love it! Orks have always been awesome and your converted rhino's give them much more character. I've been considerig doing orks myself. I have WAY too many of them though

Yeah, that's my plan anyway. Most of the army will be from TMG/Vanguard except for the Gunfortresses which will be from Gregsters Lab and Ebay. I will probably be bulking out the warbuggies and Skorchas from Ebay as well.

Yay Vanguard!

I got my first Vanguard order the other day and I am in the process of painting it up. Micro tanks (counts as Buggys) Nobz Warbikes and standard Warbikes, just as pack of each to see how they are. 8 Warbikes, 5 Nobzbikes and 8 Microtanks. Extremely fast delivery, I order them on New Years day (Friday) and they were delivered on the Monday.

The bikes are really nice but the microtanks really are tiny, I may have to find something else for my buggys.

On sprue Warbikes. The only flash that I have seen is around the front wheel spike (as can be seen on the biker with the choppa) which is easy to remove. Apart from that there are no mould lines or other issues, its just a shame that there isn't more variety in the sculpts but considering there was only a single GW warbike sculpt (that is about 20 years old).....

Size comparison, not quite as bad as I though when I was painting them but I would still prefer something a bit bigger.
