With all the new flash coming our way with the Kauyon expansion, it seems like the clear winner for the Imperium is this hot piece of wargear.
You know, the thing that does the same thing as the command and control node, but allows also allows you to fire, with no restriction about using during overwatch. For the same points.
What's the most ridiculous combo you can come up with for this piece of kit? Go!

I see it being used in grav-command squads or on centstars.

Grav Bike Command Squad is the clear winner. They will wreck most things. A Captain attached to a Skyhammer Grav Cannon Devastator Squad would work nicely too.

I personally am planning on putting it on a Chaplain with an auspex with a Double-Demi Company (I'm taking Kahn as my Captain) and putting him in a drop pod with grav-devastators.
That way he can use the auspex on one unit and give his unit ignores cover for whatever they are shooting at.
Not the most competitive option for sure, but still devastating.
...
Any character can take relics right? So I can just upgrade one of the command squad guys to an apothecary and give the relic to him right?

I'm intending to stick a librarian with it in a unit of quad mortars.
Maybe not the most totally-overpowered route, but very solid nonetheless.
I've also test-run it in devastators for more club-level play, but they got shot up by an uncannily accurate thudd gun before I could really get a feel for how they performed.

+1 BS is for the character only, and since characters typically have lackluster ranged options, this isn't likely to matter at all. The big thing is that it grants ignores cover specifically to the ranged weapons on him and in his unit, so not all ranged attacks - it won't buff witchfires - but still has the potential to be crazy powerful.
I've been running a white scars rhino-gravspam khan-scouting battle company. The upgrades I take on each unit are minimalist. It is amazingly powerful and resilient, but does not innately have a lot of ability to deal with buffed cover saves, aside from the auspex on the chaplain. Well, now my chaplain is also getting the Eye, for double cover-busting shenanigans. Yes, this is going to make my chaplain a very high-priority target for armies that live or die on cover saves, but he's really my only option unless I take a conclave, and I've been trying to run more rhinos instead of taking librarians.
I know this isn't the way to get the most overkilly efficiency out of the Eye, but really, this relic is so powerful and so cheap that it is an instant-take for all White Scars armies, whether they have a plan to use it efficiently or not.
