Having never played with or against an Imperial Knight I was hoping to get some clarification on LOS interaction with them as I recently built one; soon to be used with a new Skitarii army I'm working on.

Can LOS be drawn between/thru Knights legs and over base by friendly and enemy units? I assume yes.

Does this count as shooting thru a unit?

Hoping for some clarification so I don't play it wrong.

True line of sight. If there's a gap, you can see through it.

Shooting through its legs is shooting through unit so grants a cover save.

The cover save for shooting through units is granted for the shot passing between models in the unit. There is no mention of applying a save for a shot passing between parts of a single model.

A cover save would be granted anyway if the Knight is sufficiently obscuring the target, but not just because the shot passes between its legs.
