topic says it all. Thinking of picking one up but i'm not sold on it's stats. It's offensive output is impressive but at AV 11 and 2 HPs i'm worried about it's durability. One round of intercepting fire from a quad gun or a similar amount of fire has a good chance of taking it down.
Looking for some player imput

Maneuver them properly to avoid intercept.
Take them in multiples if possible.
Keep em cheaper so you dont worry about loosing them.
Pretty much every unit ever.
They spit out a decent amount of shots and strafing run helps out.
But dont expect them to take out an entire army by them selves.

Unless you play Tau a lot you won't find much interceptor. Its a great cheap little flyer that can cover a lot of bases, if you want a flyer in your marine army you can't go wrong with it I don't think.

I was planning to run one with the skyhammer missile option. Seven shots at a decent strength will rip things up and with twin linked at bs 4 to 5, odds are almost all of those are hitting.

I don't know if it's just poor rolling for me, but I've never had my storm talon do anything useful. Ever

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

I'd blame the dice.
I love my talon. Scrappy little bird. I fly it with skyhammers, and it always seems to do OK for itself. Thinking of picking up a second.
