So this was a pretty big project for me and I posted some WiP photos in my P&M

Im not done taking photos and am trying my best to get this to come out right, but I'm finding its rather difficult to get a white model with lots of detail taken clearly.

Here it is on Cmon
Here is what I have so far:

You should really be masking off areas where you're airbrushing the dark stuff. Your spill over makes it look like a model and not a 50 foot tall vehicle.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Im actually curious by what you mean about this, since it was brought up from black to under coat to white on all the panels, there's no spill over in any traditional sense.

i think it looks great!
only comment is that it looks too big for the base.. is that what it comes with or does it not come with one at all?

Wow, that is beautiful!

I am doubly impressed that you only unboxed it a few days ago. Very, very impressive turnaround on finishing such a large model.

Very good paintjob overall. Just not a fan of the colors, or lack there of. The armored section seems to be the same shade with all the mechanical parts being just a dark grey. I just don't see a lot to break up the actual model. Which is a shame because it's a great model and you clearly have the ability to paint it well.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I'm starting to think that Tau are the masters of "you can never have enough dakka". Excellent work

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Yeah the base it comes with is too small, even the pictures on forgeworld show its toes hanging over the edges.

I found a large oval randomly at Walmart i intend to use as a base replacement. Its about 50% bigger than the Stormsurge's base.

Hey thanks, I was able to spend the weekend on it then worked after work, had to get it done or it would hang over me.

Thats actually what I mean by Im having trouble photographing it, because theres actually a great deal of contrast but the light is flattening it out, even with a light box. I'll try again when I get home and post up some more pictures. I have to get it figured out
before I sell it because I want it accurately represented.

Yea the guns on it are excessive. I think it should be a bit more than 600pts, thats for sure.

I dont hate the base size, personally. For it's height compared to say a Stormsurge/Riptide/Wraithknight, it feels about right. The toes dont HAVE to hang over, and its perfectly possible to pose it in a less wide stance. It just has gigantic feet/toes.
