Lots of rule explanations videos, lovely minis, reputable design team.

over 12K in one day -- I'm excited for this.

Fair warning to those interested... Alien Dungeon are cool folks, and ambitious, to be sure... but even now All Quiet on the Martian Front is digging out of their fulfillment mess, and some items outright became "Well, we can't do that so here are partial refunds and store credit..."

Likewise, its rule-book is kind of a mess.

I'm not saying this can't be great, and it really looks fun, but as always, buyer beware, and do your homework when deciding if/when/how-much to pledge.

^^^This.
This is the reason I'm hesitant to back this. I'm still waiting like many others on my AQMF fullfillment. I like the looks of what they have going on there with Crush of Iron; but, my confidence in AD's ability to follow through is severely diminished at this point.

I got my last bit of AQotMF stuff just yesterday. So you can count me in the "happy" pile.

If you want lack of confidence in fulfillment, go to the Robotech KS thread. Almost 2 years past their initial date with no end in sight.

Alien Dungeon might be a bit slow, but they are FAR from being bad at delivery.

I don't know... saying they're better than the worst fulfillment debacle in miniature-game KS history, isn't a rousing endorsement. :-p

I wish them well though. Great folks who are, IMO, shooting for the sun, and hitting the moon. Their ambition is so much greater than their means, but man... I respect that.

I hear all of you ...

the difference with this on a very specific and practical level is that most of the sculpts are one piece metals ... just like Fanticide their first KS.

Because of less complexity for a family business, Fanticide delivered right on time. Very well done.

Crush of Iron should fall into the same successful category, for those willing.

Looks like it will fund the next coupke of days...
I love small scale fantasy.... 15mm is a great scale... I love the minis and this kickstarter has many minis...

Now it seems floers and large monsters are coming too..

I am interested and wish them well!!

Unfortunately this kickstarter seems to have slowed down and stagnated. It is very close to it's goal, but the last 2 days things have been slooow...

I guess the audience for 15mm fantasy is smaller than I thought.

I for one love the minis, but then again I love everything Bob Naissmith (40k squats!!) does !

Let's hope this kickstarter does get momentum, because I love the idea of a 15 mm Warmaster style high fantasy game!

If any of you got friends that may be interested please share so we can make this one fund. Or if you have a blog or gaming community or something....
It is great with more miniatures game filling up the void after specialist games closed down...

Cheers

The kickstarter has a few things working against it at this point.
1. Value - for 15mm the start up price is averaging around $1 per figure.. This is a bit much considering some other options currently available. with more stretch goals this cost may go down but it doesn't look like it's heading that way at this point.
2. Lack of updates and interaction on comments section. ADs absence from the ks I'm sure is affecting this thing from building momentum.
3. The AQMF ks. Gamers are a fickle bunch and frankly that ks left some with a bad taste so to say..... This also goes back to lack of communication mentioned above. AD went months without an update to their backers regarding fullfillment - which is coming upon the 2 year mark past the original expected delivery.. It's all there in the comments section....

I'm not trying to bad mouth AD. I too think they're probably great people with good intentions. I do think they need to work within their means, finish what they started before moving onto other projects and seriously improve on their lines of communication to keep backers/customers.

Yeah, I like 15mm but the value for the sculpts seemed off. With Khurasan, Splintered Light, etc. all doing better work for comparable (or less) price, I don't know why these were so pricey.

The company history is also concerning, especially in light of lack of updates and feedback.

The game isn't a strong selling point either, especially given that there are plenty of fantasy rules out there.

So mediocre figures with a new system retreading the whole generic elves/dwarves/orcs medieval fantasy tropes. Seems like a rehash of what Mighty Armies tried. But with more expensive starters.

I really want those Dwarf Crossbows and Ram riders for my army of Demonworld dwarves. Thinking about pledging $1 and adding one of each of them on.

*nevermind. The ks got canceled. They say they have 80% of the sculpts ready and paid for, so I would definitely buy them if they show up as retail.
