LOCALS given fright when model maker Steve Wild unleashed his 7ft 6in space marine on the unsuspecting public.

A brave little lad sizes up the 7ft 6in giant

A GIANT Dark Angel Space Marine caused a stir when it was unleashed in a Scots town yesterday.

Model-making fanatic Steve Wild, of Arbroath, spent five months building the 7ft 6in character using 500 sheets of A4 card and papier mache – but got a mixed reaction when he introduced it to residents.

One wee lad was fascinated with the 200lb creation and dad-of-two Steve said local children love his models.

But Mary Martin, 63, said: “I got the fright of my life when I saw it. I almost dropped my shopping.”

Former Marine Steve is planning an 8ft reproduction of the iron throne from TV
hit Game of Thrones next – but first needs to make room in his workshop.

The 50-year-old said: “I think it will be pretty cool to have a giant Space Marine in the living room.”

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I expect he is not married.

Isn't 7' 6" a bit small for a Dark Angle, though? Are they are very short chapter by geneseed?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Standard marine height in armor is 7'.

Depends on the fluff. Different writers have put SM anywhere from 7ft to 9ft, both in and out of armour. There's no 'set standard' for Space Marine height, really.

The suit is awesome. I want one.

Norn Iron

That is pretty funky. Is it a suit or a full model?

And has he received a C&D yet?

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

Abnnet said they were 12-15' tall. Alpha Legion is only 10', though.

It said he's a former marine, right? That's like a medium weight backpack for him. Lol

Very awesome.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
