I'm currently working on a 2000-points army list for Space Wolves. The list itself is focused around a blob of 5 TWC and a TWC Lord, plus GH's with Rune Priests in Drop Pods. I'll be using the 'The Wolves Unleashed' detachment. What HQ choices should hav? What's the best equipment?

Also, I want my Wolf Lord to have Runic Armour, Black Death and a SS.

Do like everyone else and put him on a Twolf.

everyone basically run logan or a thunderwolf riding hq because sh!ts busted as heck, but i think a cool option would the rhino primaris/land raider excelsior. instant synergy with wolf guard/wgt, able to provide skyfire rather than having to shoehorn in a stormwolf, armorbane for long fangs to give them a little extra push for cracking an enemy tank like a baneblade chassis or a gorkanaut, and orbital bombar for those hard to reach places. let us also not forget that you can hand out twin linked to units virtually at will. i think it would be a cool concept if a bit expensive.

I would say either put that Lord on a Thunderwolf (and then collect the tears of your enemies) or look into the rhino primaris as ionusx said.

Unless you are running TWC with all Thunderhammers and Powerfist I always run Herald Deathwolf with mine. Gives a nice extra boost on the charge and makes sure they keep in combat in case you run into another CC unit.

For a 2nd HQ in this formation I like the Wolf Guard Battle Leader on TWC using the Armour of Russ. It's pretty much the perfect piece of wargear for someone like him. I like to go Black Death or Fangsword with Bolt Pistol. If I've got yet even more points to upgrade, replace Bolt Pistol with Plasma Pistol and add Helm of Russ.
