Yes. In the new Marines codex Dreadnoughts received 4 attacks. Space Wolves came out before them, and since they came out before Marines their Dreads only get 2 attacks.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

SW Dreadnoughts are still at 2 Attacks base, you'll have to wait for an update (new Codex or Errata) to get 4 Attacks base (very likely).

Our you could be lucky and your group/tournament organizer allows for the stats to be upgraded.

But don't hold your breath.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

...or just take a regular Space Marine dread in your army instead of the Space Wolf one...

Why not go all out and get a Bloodthirster for 6 Attacks? I mean it's just as much part of the SW army list as the SM Dreadnought is.

And just as legal in the current edition.

Not particularly relevant though if what you want is a Dreadnought.

Yes, both are legal in an unbound army. But you suggested going unbound without saying that it would be unbound, as if just switching the SW DN for a SM DN was no big deal. To someone who was already confused whether or not updates to one Codex would change rules in another Codex. Very helpful.

Yes, I did. Because unless you have a house rule against Unbound lists, it is no big deal.

To most people it is, though. And I'm not criticizing that you suggested an Unbound list, I'm criticizing that you did so without mentioning it being Unbound, which probably only added to the confusion.

But let's just sit back and see if nico has any follow-up questions, I think the initial question was answered with pretty much all possible facetes now.

Not being able to use Detachments kinda sucks though. Well, at least you get to use your Formations still.
