While this feels like a bit soon after the first version came out, I know that the writer has taken a lot of feedback from the community who have play tested the game a lot. I think this is more like an updated print run that includes the FAQ than a new version of the game.
I also hope the fantasy version of the game makes it into print soon.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it. |

That is correct. There are only a few minor rules changes in the new version. The reason for the new edition is to get the book available at shops and shows, as the first edition was self-published and only available as print-on-demand.

This looks interesting I did a quick youtube search and could not find much showing the play style of the game. The written reviews were not descriptive enough for me to get a sense of how the game works. Would love to see either a YouTube battle report or how to play series if possible. Cheers

It looks interesting indeed. I just posted a first impressions piece on my blog.
I will probably do a more in-depth review later on.

I played S&S for the first time just before Christmas, using 6mm Greeks.
A complete AAR plus general thoughts about the system can of course be found on my blog.

Sounds like it was a pretty good game, although I can see why two lines of hoplites might seem a little boring!
Mind explaining what you meant by an elaborate point system?

Just that it takes several factors into account and multiplies them according to fixed formulas, which I think is a bit more elaborate than just providing a number for each unit.
The whole thing can be found here:

You only need to delve into that if you're customizing a list, right? All of the given army lists have points costs on them (using said formula)

Correct. Most common armies already have points values, but those values are of course based on the system in question.
