Edit: WOO! PAGE 2
Hi all! It's been a few days, but I've made progress! Actual paint on models!
not quite finished (still waiting for a wash, and then I need to choose where I want Orange to be on these guys, I'm debating between on the padding (which would hide most of the grey), or only on the shoulder pads. One thing I may consider is orange shouder pads, and black padding (closer to what forge world does)) Beyond that, these models are amazing, and painting them is not as bad as I thought they would be. I know they could use more detailing, but in an army that will have as many men as this would, It's good to know that I can scream through these if need be.
up next: A tank!
I went through and primed everything that was not (excluding some marines), and started to work on the more major silver details (as I'm lacking in paints that I need) nothing to special on the tank front yet. Expect some more major progress on the Stormhammer come next weekend.
Finally: so it begins!
He's posed. He's mean. He's gonna wreak some knights.... and forge world forgot the shoulders :( The first Leviathan for my Death Guard! I'll eventually own 3 (since they are a lot cheaper then I expected..... though still expensive), but this guy will do for now. I'll be magnetizing the weapons, probably pinning the gun's rotation point so I can spin it about, and magnetizing (or pinning) the torso to the legs so he too can look about! Contemptor nearby for scale Still waiting for something to be finished before I write up the fluff blurb, but I'm debating making them a wee bit longer (more like paragraph long short stories)
If anyone had any tips for blog layouts, I'd be very appreciative as I don't want this to become one jumbled mess if I can avoid it!

So, I've been working......... slowly :(
It's not 100% my fault, forgeworld forgot a few important parts, AND the rain did not want to let me prime these parts.
Anywho, without any further a due, The WIP pictures
First, the all around pic! I really like how this model's pose has ended up, and I love the model in general (have 2 more coming in the mail from a buddy) my LORD is he huge compared to a regular dread.
Secondly, I LOVE this weapon. It's still mostly WIP and I'm trying to get the dingy feel that the one shown on the website has, but even in it's current state I think it still looks cool. I still need to drybrush over the blues, and think of a way to make it look messier....... if need be.
With spring break coming up, I'll either be thinking of an actually decent way to transfer my models to and fro, or (hopefully) 100% finishing all of the remaining 8 dreadnoughts, who knows! Beyond that, I WILL have full army shots of all 3 of my current armies coming out Friday so hopefully this will put some umpf into me to get more done.

@ edildrcheese Thanks! yeah, the model is great.
@ Master Azalle Yeah, I gotta agree on the larger models: I figure I'd be able to do them nicer if I owned an airbrush, but it seems that I can make do with what I have for the time being.

Well, it's been a while, but I've made some progress, and I even have the seeds of a new army to show off! I know recently I've been pretty light on death guard updates, but that will be changing up as I want to paint more of my stuff before my next few orders get in.
First and foremost: An update on the leviathan!
It should be pointed out that this guy is a beast on the table. amazing shooting, great close combat, the only problem is that in the 4 games I've fielded him in he's killed 1 dreadnought, 1 trygon, and nothing else! He's almost downed a knight by himself, though the opponent called the game before the combat finished :( Not much left to do on him other then take a decent picture. Currently my goal is to get all of my death guard to at least this point before I decide if I want to do a step further with a light drybrush to brighten up the color a bit.
next is some current testing I'm playing with: The first half of a Legion Destroyer Squad
A Destroyer with his converted missile launcher
The Destroyer sergeant + a showcase of some of the rust effect I'm adding to the squad to have some more color there.
I've wanted some destroyer squads for a while, so I converted some MK VI destroyers, though I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with them. Currently they are sitting at a drybrush of 50/50 badab black and leadbelcher. I figure I'll wash the entire model black and go from there and see what I can do. Any input would be nice as I am really just guessing at this point how to paint them up.
Finally, I mentioned an army, and so I've done a test model: A Mechanicum(s) Magos!
Archmagos Nomen Ignotum: A magos of extreme skill who is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesn't afraid of anything.
My attempt at some light OSL on the "plasma fusil"
I hate painting white on black, I really do
I've wanted to do up a mechanicum army for a long while, though this one will take a bit longer to amass. First I'm gonna aquire all (or most) of my human elements before I dive into the robots. This means 1 or 2 more HQ units, some myrmidons, and some tech-priest auxilia, which, judging form painting this guy, should be a lot of fun.
Beyond all this, I'm still torn how I wanna organize this thread. I'd like to have a lot of WiP pictures, but at the same time I want some form of organization when it comes to showing off finished models and fluff. Who knows what I'll come up with, but as per the usual I'm open to any comments and ideas. Thanks for reading!

I'd recommend a wash in the Leviathan's panel lines, probably Agrax Earthshade. As it stands, they really have no depth. :(

Thanks! I agree, and I think this may be quite a bit better:
Any other thoughts?

Maybe a second go, but that's already a drastic improvement! Some sharper highlights on the most extreme/exposed edges might help as well.

Thanks for the comments! I know it's been a long while since I've updated, but I should have some pictures up within the next day or two as the collection has expanded greatly! As well as this, I'll probably be trying to reformat the blog a bit, and update the unit lists!

Hi all! Long time no update! Recently I've been bogged down by the end of the semester and some commission work, but here I am to get some updated pics out before I disappear for another few weeks due to family vacations! Woo!
First off, I've been promising a 'collection' picture for a long while now, and here's the closest I'm gonna be getting any time soon:
This is most all of my marines for both Death Guard, and my Current standing Thousand Sons (Ignoring the decent amount that is currently on loan to a buddy ) This is also a few days outdated in the painting sense. Since this picture was taken I've gone and painted all Black, Silver, and green throughout the entire Death Guard Army, basically all colors beyond the base itself and the brass trims are finished!
Not pictured (or currently in the mail) is:
My entire Solar auxilia army
my 6 mechanicum models
30 terminators for Death Guard
40 power armour marines for Death Guard
the rest of my Thousand Sons
Secondly, I've finished another model:
As you can all see, I've acquired a legion transfer sheet, and have been practicing with them. This guy generally runs as a herald when I'm playing loyalist, or as part of a command squad when I don't feel like using deathshroud for that purpose. He's slightly converted from the normal MK III command set in that I've swapped out the bolt pistol for the much better looking (imo) power sword.
hopefully I can get another update out before I leave, but I wouldn't count on it unless I FINALLY get the drive to paint all of my legion shoulder pad trims

Hi all! I figured a brief, mid-vacation update would be pretty fun!
Being that I'm away from home, I won't have gotten much painting done, BUT with having a birthday that just passed, my collection has certainly expanded. I'll get a 'full' picture up as soon as I can, but the 'to do' list now includes:
20 Grave Warden Terminators
5 MORE Death Shroud Terminators
ANOTHER Calth Kit (built up as multiple support/Heavy support squads)
30 new solar Auxilia Models (20 lasrifles and 10 Volkite)
44 Models for my Imperial Militia (updates on this first, probably)
I expect 2 big times of 'acquiring new stuff' this year: Once in August (when I will finish my DG..... cough ), and Once in December when I get a HUGE amount of Thousand Sons
Thanks for reading for a little over 2 pages now, and I like to think that by the end of next week I'll have a battle report, some more fluff, and some pictures again

Long time no post! This is in part due to 3 major things: 1) Summer classes and school starting up again (woo ), 2) Me getting back into Fantasy with Age of Sigmar (maybe another hobby blog?) and 3) Me not actually painting any 30 models nearly all summer long :(
This will just be a quick update, and Hopefully by tomorrow night I'll get a couple of full army pictures up and I can start working on some 40k stuff again! (or more AoS horses )

Thanks! I was putting a lot of thought into it as I'm making some pretty solid progress on that side of things!
As for AoS, I'm in the middle of an Empire/Dwarfs/Undead(Malignants) themed army, with an army for my step brother in the works
