Hunting with the 13th

I am primarily a Nurgle player, but I have slowly amassed a cool Tzeentch-themed daemon army that I want to run. As such, the knight sounds like it fits right in with a Tzeentch army, filling most of the gaps.

Here is what I have so far:

1850 [ITC-friendly]
**CAD 1**
HQ
-Lord of Change: 2 Greater Rewards, ML3
-Disc Herald: 2 Lesser Rewards, ML3
-Disc Herald: 2 Lesser Rewards, ML3
-Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch
TROOPS
-Pink Horrors x11, + 1 Iridescent Horror
-Pink Horrors x11, + 1 Iridescent Horror
FAST ATTACK
-Screamers x8
HEAVY SUPPORT
-Daemon Prince of Tzeentch: Wings, Armor, 1 GR, 1 Exalted, ML3
LOW
-Chaos Knight Paladin: Daemon Knight of Tzeentch, Dirge caster

Caveats/Questions:
--Should the heralds just take a greater reward in lieu of the two lesser ones, or drop the rewards all together for a Locus?
--The Exalted Flamer is a bit of a fill-in for an odd number of points that I had left. However, planting him with a static horrors squad - on an objective - seems like fun. Anyone have any first-hand xp with Exalted Flamers that they can share?
--I don't have Fateweaver; I know that he is an almost auto-include in Daemon armies, but this one unfortunately won't include him. I will have to rely on getting lucky on the Warlord Traits table...
--Is the Grimoire even worth running sans Fateweaver?
--The 'Daemon Knight of Tzeentch' dedication does not seem as powerful as the Nurgle option, but it is one of the cheapest, thus granting that invul save. I want to run it for fluff reasons over the Khorne dedication, although I could be swayed to change.
--I plan on primarily rolling on Telepathy, Divination, and Malefic (mainly for Cursed Earth over summoning). Would a roll on Bio be a good for for the LoC?

Any suggestions/feedback are appreciated.

Why the iridescent horrors? Kinda pointless without upgrades on them, aren't they?

Abstractly, to lessen the chance of 'Punished by the Gods' claiming an HQ or Heavy Slot. Although, an upgrade to each (lesser reward?) seems sound.

I would run fateweaver over the LOC...

i like your list! i've been considering running something similar.

-If you use fatey and the grimoire, it sounds like it is now a thing that your knight could get that 2++ rerollable shenanigans, reducing the friendliness of your list significantly.

-the LoC though, running divination(don't think he can use biomancy, but divination is really strong) and with 2 greater and 1 lesser(staff of change) is a really fun build for combat and could be your second heavy hitter in the list. run your prince the same way with rewards and go for telepathy, and now you can run him with the LoC as a sort of combat unit abusing shrouding.
this set up may not be the most competitive, but it's still strong, and has a nice toolboxy feel to it. that LoC build is quickly becoming my favorite HQ choice.

-i'd give your heralds the exalted rewards. the grimoire has usually been a liability for me without fatey, but the portal glyph is almost always a good investment. lesser rewards are almost useless on your heralds. they don't want to be in combat.

-i've enjoyed running exalted flamers solo, and using them as a deep striking gun platform, sorta like an obliterator.

Great info, thanks slamma...Just what I was looking for. I will drop the lesser rewards on the heralds and try to squeeze in a greater as well.

You have an interesting take on the exalted flamer. I like it.

Like your list and love that you squeezed in an exalted flamer to support one punk horror squad
