Hey guys, a friend is wanting to buy my custom painted model of asdrubel vect, he I painted well and is a mix between a archon and a kalabite, if anyone can help me out would be great. Thanks.

You'd really need to post some photos of it. There is the value of the model itself, but also the paintjob can either add to or subtract the value of it.

Pictures are pretty much required to guess a price as Slaphead said. The model can swing so far based on how well the conversion was done and how good the paint job is.

$1 or so, at best, unless you're painting at golden demon level.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I would say about tree-fiddy, until you are found out to be a giant crustacean from the pleistocene epoc.

But on a serious note, seeing as it no longer has rules, probably not much. Unless they come out with a new campaign that gives him rules again.

OOP models are worth quite a bit to collectors though.
On Ebay Asdrubael Vect currently is listed for $64, $98 (for a painted model) and $129, $225, $243 (for unboxed ones).

This isn't the OOP model, it's the OP's custom conversion.

In all honesty if you are selling a used model to a friend the best way is to determine a price you both think is fair.

As long as your friend has no intention of immediate resale.

I sold a good friend of mine a small eldar side army I had for about 20% retail just because I wanted him to get a good head start and because I knew I would have many games with them still.

Who is this "Vect"? I don't see him listed anywhere in the Dark Eldar codex.

What are you talking about? There was no Vect, there never was, and even if there was, he's gone for good. Which is of course crazy, cause there never was a Vect.

That's because he's still the leader of the Dark City. Apparently he's too rich and busy to kill us mere mortals.

1000 specially trained super soldiers or an entire city of depraved lunatics. I wonder which requires more constant attention.

City is an understatement. More like... city-state in terms of sheer size. Gigantic even by 40k city standards given the webway's near infinite nature.

I didn't think Vect actually ran it though.

He might be the acknowledged ruler, but I doubt he's processing utility bills or deciding where to invest taxpayer's souls. Likewise, the city demonstrably doesn't stop the moment he goes out on a raid.

Path of the Archon gives us a pretty good idea of his standard day to day. I don't recommend reading it though, it's dreadful.

Oh Pish-Posh, Motely was absolutely delightful. The scene with him sparring with Lady Mayls above the river of Lava was lots of fun. And it portrayed Vect himself very well.

To bad the rest of the characters kinda fell flat. I miss Morr.

Yeah Motley was a good character, but Harlequins always are. Vect was well presented, but only as a supporting element of the story, if Chambers hadn't tried to cram so much else in it would have been much better, the subplot in the shadowrealm really didn't add enough to the story for how much room it was given. Plus I'm not a big fan of his writing anyway, his ego always seems to find a way through. Imo, obviously.

It just strikes me as weird that a guy leading a city of people who only follow strength doesn't do anything.

Anyone who crosses Vect tends to end up dead. I am willing to bet that is more than enough reason to keep him in charge.

If he did more there might be less time wasted on people trying to kill him.

Why risk your own neck when you have others to do it for you while still getting a cut of the raid after to keep yourself restored. If he were injured during a raid or temporary killed that is when he would be at his most vulnerable.
