For the 30 tactical marines, is it usual to make all 30 customized with the FW Night Lords shoulders, helmets, and chest pieces or are some of these only used for certain units? Deciding if I should buy 3 Night Lord bundles on FW or just use the Night Lords stuff sparingly on some of them. I'm thinking of using them as 3 units of 10 Terror Squads.

My two boxes should be here soon, but I can't finish building them really until I decide on what FW pieces I'm going to use hah

It all depends on how much you want to spend. It's entirely up to you.

It's entirely up to you, I think it would look better if every model is forgeified however this is costly and I would have no issues playing someone with little (or no) FW bits. It's entirely up to you and your budget, so long as you like the look of your army who cares what others think :-)

So as a fellow Night Lords player, I bought two of each kit and spread them around all three terror squads. That way they all look unique.

Also... No bolters, get Volkite chargers for your terror squads. It's one of our great options.

If I was sort of on a budget I would buy the following things:

-helmet upgrade packs. They look really good even swapping out only half of them might just make your army look really different.

-Ignore the shoulder pads upgrades, free handing should just be fine. Make your own if you really want to have a 3d shoulder pad. They are easy to copy even with some of the stamping techniques.

-Buy only a few bodies. The bodies look great but only use them for characters sarges and so on. Regular bolter or other basic weapons will block your sight to them.

-Weapons are eye catchers upgrade them with good looking ones if you want to use other weapons.

-Buy rhino and landraider doors. They are relative cheap look great and you don't need a lot of them.

-Sell your dreads (body only) and buy the FW one. For those few bucks you will have to pay extra you are getting a dread with lots of character.

kk! I noticed Volkite Chargers are sold out on FW, I wonder if that's due to the Betrayal at Calth! =P

Saw somewhere here on Dakka that the FW teams are re-doing the weapon packs with the hands attached, which is why they're sold out. Makes sense to me.

I got some of the MkIV ultramarine shoulders for mine cause screw transfers, I wouldn't bother going more than that really.
