Are these guys worth taking in a slaughter cult? Just wondering as at 1500 im.considering bringing a blood host and a cad so.that i can bring a land raider. Id be putting them in there with a terminator lord with chain fist

Not really no, they are far too expensive for what you get in my opinion. Especially in a land raider in a 1500pts games.

Letters are the staple to my troop slot. 2 units of 8 with a reaper to deep strike on objectives or hide out waiting for a decent target. I've actually had success with 6 units of 8 simply deep striking all over. When they die take your tithe. When they don't, claim your objective.

Bloodletters are one of the better troops choices you can take with Daemonkin. They're fairly cheap compared to the CSM/Berserkers and the fact that they have fearless built in means that they're damn good objective holders since you don't have to worry about morale. They're also good in the sense that if you deep strike them in your enemy's backfield that they're an immediate threat that your opponent can't ignore because of their crazy damage output on the charge. They're still quite fragile given that their only T3 and have a 5+ invuln. but are still considerably better than cultists and their base unit cost is cheap enough that they don't cost too much if you spam them MSU style.

May pick up a box of letters plus some possessed then. Kind of like the idea of going unbound and then running a slaughter cult and just adding the land raider in

KDK zerkers in MSU distraction units is pretty solid.

They can cleave through hordes rather nicely if left unchecked, and if they get themselves killed, its just more blood tithe.

But...they compare to fearless bloodletters, who are probably a better buy against most opponents.
Zerkers are better against hordes, but how many horde armies are a serious threat right now?

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Are they REALLY MSU though? I thought they had to be minimum 8 in the Daemonkin book.

Yes they do

That's not really MSU then, as that's still expensive. Cultists are a better choice in that regard.

No not really, they are just too expensive for what they offer. If I'm bringing a Slaughtercult 2 units of bloodletters are my default troop choices, especially at 1500. If you want to bring a land raider as well I'd consider bringing CSM allies, with Kharn, a min cultist unit and the LR itself. Put Kharn with a bloodletter unit and stick them in the LR. It can be a lot of fun charging that lot out of the LR if you point them at the right units.

Cultists are better blood tithe food, but useless at throwing around random assaults.

I wouldn't say useless. Remember KD cultists get 4 attacks each on the charge which can quickly add up. Depending upon what they are assaulting they still have a chance of doing some damage. I've even taken out a couple THSS termis with them before.

How much useless according to math? Remember that those Cultists will add up to a bunch of points. One is 105 minimum and that's for only five, and the other is like 60 for 10.

Personally I LOVE zerkers

But due to the lack of decent cheap assault vehicles and the price tag its hard to be competative in a small game.

However I have recently discovered the Fist of Khorne which allows you to assault 20 (thats right 20!) zerkers in the firs turn !

Tool up the champion with with either a power first or an axe of khorn n meltabomb and you can make a bee line for the biggest threat on the board.

However points wise its a bit expensive ... both in your list and your wallet

Fist of Khorne is an idea my bro and I had years ago to fix the problem with berzerkers and not having a pod lol, then it came out and we were jumping, then we read Apoc only formation and sad faced again.
