It seems whoever packed my AOS starter didn't put enough 32mm bases in!!! Had enough for my blood readers but now I can't put my bloodsecrator on one like it suggests!! But they did put an extra 40mm base in so is it ok if I put him on that?

Bases don't matter at all in AoS, so go right ahead.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I think all the starters are like that. Saw others complaining about this when the game first launched. I put my Bloodsecrator on the 40mm base (I'm not even sure he fits on a 32mm, though the warscroll pics have him on a 32mm). I assume either the 32mm was a misprint or they decided to change it later but couldn't update the books.

But technically bases don't matter, so it's not cheating. And you wouldn't be the only one.

Edit: Here's a thread on Warseer about this very issue.
