So, as you can all tell from my signature, I'm doing a late crusade Expedition fleet of Death Guard, Thousand sons (It works, I swear ), and a Solar Auxilia/Militia army, but I'm having some doubts.
In the first place, I cannot decide how I want to do my Militia, either squats or skaven, but the problem goes on because of the sheer size and number of models needed to make a militia army make using squats hard (a local modeler is "helping" me out on the number needed, but it's still costly). Additionally, I've now convinced myself it would be better if I added on a 3rd legion instead of the Militia ( probably Alpha legion, world eaters, or white scars) but I'm not sure. Any input?

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

So I too am doing a big project with the end goal being two legion armies with Imperial Army and Mechanicum support. Thousand Sons and Luna Wolves here.

As much as I love the Death Guard they would never work the the 1k sons. I mean they are "come the apocalypse" allies in the 30k rulebook.

"I was never a Son of Horus. I was and remain a Luna Wolf. A proud son of Cthonia, a loyal servant of the Emperor."

Recasts are like Fight Cub. No one talks about it, but more people do it then you realize.

Armies.
Luna Wolves 4,000 Points
Thousand Sons 4,000 Points.

Edited for promptness: Basically, since the Praetors I have in the "fleet" are Typhon and a Praetor taught by a dusk raider, so much of Mortarion's witch spite would only come from himself and any of his direct body guard forces. The general infantry man of the DG would probably have distrust, but I think it would be far from working with them. Besides, we've seen legions who hate each other more working together in the great crusade on longer missions/fleets .

This is very true! End of the day you fluff your army brother. I love the DG and the TS so I am all in favor of it. I run my TS and Luna Wolves as loyalists who were on a joint deep space recon when the heresy broke out.

You don't need AdMech combatants to have AdMech members of the Fleet.

There was a story in the SM omnibus where a single kroot killed 2-3 marines then ate their gene seed and became a Kroot-startes.

We must all join the Kroot-startes...

No! Don't tempt me! I'm already trying in vain to stick to just 3 armies XD I hope to eventually have some ad mech, they just look so cool!

Having a combined expedition fleet is something we've seen, but -aside from a case where several meet up for some reason, I don't recall one with three seperate legions attached. Hence, I'd stick with army regiments
