So, say I wanted to make myself a Warboss, and wanted it to be the proper size for a Warboss. It doesn't have to be much larger, but I feel the Nob models are a bit too small for a Warboss. The resin kits doesn't really fit my style, and while I love the two plastic Warbosses, I'd much rather make my own unique Boss.

Has anyone tried to increase the size of a Nob or Flash Git with green stuff? I would love to make a Warboss with the caped body in the Flashgitz set, one of the heads from that kit, and the knife from the Ogryn set, but at the current size, the parts won't fit.

What do you do for your Warbosses?

If you're not going to use any of the current warbosses then I'd actually use the Orgyn kit with an Ork head.

Nobs are way too small to represent a Warboss, it's at least a 25-35% size difference.

IF you want to go that road you could start by chopping a Nob body in half, then putting something between the legs and torso to make him taller, add GS between the arm joints to make bigger shoulders and longer arms, again it's such a size jump that it's hard to use the Nobz parts and not have him coming out looking weedy.

I've also seen people do great work with action figures, a little green stuff, and a LOT of time to make some amazing warbosses.

Well I'm pretty certain this warboss uses a daemon prince as the basis with some killa kan bits.

Spoiler:

I used Green Stuff to make my own with some dreadnought bits but mostly it was a scratch build.

Be Vigilant!
BEHAVE!

Show me your god and I'll send you a warhead because my god's bigger than your god.

Whenever anyone asks this question I direct them to the one I went with:

Now *this* is a Warboss! Gaz, eat your heart out!

It's a cool model for sure, but I don't really like the Kromlech Ork faces, and to be honest, there's almost too much detail. I don't need a Boss being super-armoured, it just has to have the bulk of it.

It depends on what warboss you wanna do, and where you are playing. I think mad dok is the easiest to do. What I did was use a nob and just placed him ontop of the base size that's appropriate, use spacers to ellevate the nob base to a height that's right, the scenary on the base will make up for the height.(Did the same for a phsyker)
Can post photo or pm, then I used I think resistors(the things that look like crackers) inside electical stuff and made it into syringes.

Just use the mega armor box?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I believe you can still get the Warboss from the previous 40k starter on eBay.

That will still make the issue that he's the size of any other Meganob.
