i have a small DA force of
Azrael
1 tactical squad
1 company vet squad
1 predator
1 ven dreadnought

and was wondering if the cadian defence force box set is any good for starting a imperial guard army but at £100 it is a bit expensive so dakkanoughts is it worth the money or is there anything else for around the same price

It's a good start, there are no truly bad units included although some people are very meh on LR these days.

It's a solid start to any guard army, especially if you're going platoon based for the army
