I am going to start Grey Knights and I am wondering how you paint yours?
Unfortunately, there is no GW video yet and I want to get good results straight away.
Every model should be painted the same way so the army looks really uniform.
Here is roughly what I am planning to do:
1) Corax White Undercoat (Makes the metall shinier and helps painting the Red/White shoulderpads as well as the white heads of Purifiers)
2) Leadbelcher Basecoat (leave everything that is not going to be metal ofc ;-))
3) Nuln Oil Shade
4) Necron Compound Drybrush
5) Guilliman Blue Glaze on some parts
Any other advice?
Alternative I could only prime the shoulderpads and heads in white

I'm currently painting some Grey Knights. I don't have much time to paint them so I opted for a quick approach to them. Here goes;
1) Basecoat of black
2) Polished blue paint from Gamecraft. Two drybrushed coats was enough to get an even coat.
3) All lettering/armour trim was given a coat of bronze and then given a light coating of Auric armour gold.
I don't personally like how metallics look over a white primer. They seem to be much richer over black.
For GK's, I also find Leadbelcher to be a bit dark and tend to use IronBreaker as the main colour.
I use an airbrush, but for brush painting and dry brushing, I would go with :
1. Prime black, but as you mentioned, anything that's going to be a light colour and you have left it separate, then prime those bits white
2. Basecoat Leadbelcher (for the coverage) then do a heavy dry brush/layer of IronBreaker , or if you have the time, do a couple of layers of IronBreaker straight onto the black. For either, make sure you have nice solid coverage of mainly IronBreaker.
3. 50/50 mix of Nuln Oil and Drankenhof Nightshade wash, just into the recesses.
4. Drybrush with Necron Compound
I don't like too much blue in the armour on Grey Knights, and I've found that doing a recess wash with this colour just gives a nice subtle hint of blue. If you wanted it a little more vibrant, you could try a very light amount of Guilliman Blue in the recesses too after.
This is just my preference . I prefer the slightly lighter look of IronBreaker compared to Leadbelcher
Ironbreaker is a good Idea, just looked at my other models and the leadbelcher/nuln oil mix gets quite dark.
I intend to use lahmian medium quite alot to get a smooth surface.
I would like to try drankenhof nightshade and guilliman blue to See the difference, but thats not gonna happen ^^
Jay did painting has some tutorials on them but just lead belcher and a complimantart colour like blue or red looks great on them with a dash of bronze/gold

And since you'll also want to paint your Nemesis Force Weapons...

It has been released in the land of Hobbits

The land of Hobbits, as in where they filmed the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films...

Again, where did they film the Hobbit movies? Check GW's website for that country.

They've not all been posted, but just like the weekly releases they start in Middle Earth and work their way around the globe.

Grey Knights:
1) Black Prime
2) Zenithal airbrush spray in a dark grey (little lighter than Payne's Grey).
3) Leadbelcher metallic, a light dusting with airbush (my favorite metallic hands-down), it looks funky when sprayed.
4) Nuln-Oil for the crevices.
5) I like to mix a light grey with leadbelcher to edge-highlight.
6) I sometimes like to add a line or highlight over raised surfaces by brush with straight leadbelcher.
The Grey part done short of clear-coat.

Could I achieve a similar effect if I used the leadbelcher spray?
Should be very smooth, right?
I want to have a black background for all the gold letters on the armor, so I guess I would have to repaint them black afterwards.
Do I lose too much of the detail there by doing so?
1. prime dark grey.
2. dry brush leadbelcher.
3. light dry brush and edging with rungfang steel.
4. gold for all this lettering and flashy bits.
5. teal for the eyes.
I don't do the blue glaze on mine because I just like the way they turn out using my method. I have seen some really cool looking Grey Knights though with people using a blue wash/glaze.

@Aeri: you should be fine with Leadbelcher spray, or even a brush, as the video shows...
if you want a dark background for the gold letters on the Grey Knights, i would suggest using a burgandy color wash to shade, rather than black...
it gives a dark shaded look, without being as harsh as black...
i use a mix of P3 Flesh Wash and Sanguine Base to shade my golds, but if you use Citadel paints, then Reikland Fleshshade mixed with a bit of Khorne Red or Mournfang Brown should do the trick nicely...
keep it thin, and the wash won't harm the detail...
I just recieved my first set of terminators and a dreadknight - construction in progress
ps: got it from ebay - any chance somebody could send me the construction instructions?
I want to build mine like the box set and I am not sure which arms are holding the hammer etc.
