Greetings! 40k gamer here living in the UK around Nottingham. If you couldn't work it out from the title, I'm a chaos lover! Been playing on and off for about 3 years but only recently properly dived in and brought a hefty amount of models for a Khorne Deamonkin army. More interested in gaming than painting, so I aim for table quality.

Anyhow, I've been hoping against hope to find some gamers in my area (Around Nottingham, so pretty close to Warhammer World). Recently my regular group has slowed down, some left for uni and others lost interest and I'm determined to not lose interest, so if you're cool with playing with a complete stranger (fair does if not) feel free to drop me a message. Ciao!

Pah, fool, you only hasten your own doom, for Khorne cares not who's blood is spilt!

...thank you tho.

Filthy heretic!

Our local forces would waste no time in (attempting) the removal of such taint from the premises!
There are a few of us in Notts; Guard regiments, Space Wolves, SoB, Skitari and a bloody Tau representative that is for some reason tolerated (barely).
At least two of us would be ready to (try and) demonstrate the fury of the Imperium at any given time, though mostly Thursday's through Sundays.

I believe JamesY here on Dakka is also local, though bound slightly more by time constraits and responsibility.

Astartes, Xenos, Human, none of it matters, ALL SKULLS ARE WELCOME AT THE FOOT OF THE BLOOD GODS THRONE. (If my entire time on the forums is spent talking like this it'll be Utopia)

That sounds fantastic though! If you'd be welcoming (even if begrudgingly) of a heretic, I'm usually free Friday's through Sunday. I'll drop you a PM if that's cool.

Of course you'd be welcome! The Tau is not barely tolerable because of being a filthy Xenos sympathiser. He's barely tolerable because he's an argument addict.
Thankfully Xenos transportation is less reliable than that if the Imperium, and we aren't subjected to his nonsense very often.

I'm taking part in Attrition this weekend (which may end badly), but other than that much of December is free for slapping one another at range.

(The main reason we imperials travel in pairs isn't down to fear of the opposition! Not at all! It's because I don't know how to play very well and it's generally faster for someone to point and help. )

What's this "range" you speak of, coward?! Warfare should be conducted in glorious close combat, where you can see up close the quantities of blood you spill in the name of Khorne!

I have to sympathise, my old closed off group of friends all started at the same time. Our games are 100%, unforgiving, PURE salt and rage, but it's all in good fun. And it also means despite having played on and off for 3 years I'm still likely very much a scrub since none of us were able to correct each other...

Us guardsmen don't like getting close enough to smell the foul opposition! Why else do you think we have tanks?

Game-wise, one of us (Adam) knows how to make incredibly hardcore lists, but we tend to water him down. I'm pure aesthetic/ gimmick Guard (my list includes an Aquila lander). As long as I understand why I'm being beaten, I don't mind, I just like playing.
Leigh who is rarer, is our Wolves champ, he's a painter-player and just enjoys a game.
Basically none of us are tournament meta gamers. We much prefer the playing part and the lunch.

My "tactics" are limited to: Run at enemy, stab it, if still alive, repeat. Trust me I have no expectation to win whenether I play, I just enjoy the (usual) jovial atmosphere and Khorne shenanigans. So that's ideal!

I'll drop you a PM when my callander looks a little more clear, should be up for games in a couple of weeks if you guys would be down for that. Thanks for the welcome though folks!

I play Eldar and Guard, we don't let you get close to us you dirty traitor! We run away and shoot you, or fire a wall of ordinance thick enough to walk on.

Hi CaoCaoTipper

I'm a fairly recent returning player building on my little Tau collection I started about 10 years ago

I've yet to have my first proper game yet but I live down the road from WHW so would definitely be up for a game once I've got my bare minimum models sorted. They'll be in a sort of half painted/unpainted state for now as I'm concentrating on actually getting the models together to field . Hoping to start out with a couple 500pt games and progress from there
