Hey dakkadakka, was looking through the necron book and conjured this list up, could you tell me any difficulties it may face and small changes that may fix it?
Decurion:
Command barge (don't know which gun), Overlord with warscythe, phylacteral, phase shifter, nightmare shroud
5 immortals
3 tomb blades
10 warriors in ghost arc
10 warriors in ghost arc
Destroyer Cult
Destroyer Lord with Solar staff, phase shifter
3x heavy destroyers
3x destroyers
3x destroyers
3x destroyers

Seems pretty good overall to me mate. Can't go wrong with Destroyer Cult in any circumstance, Arks are solid too.
Of course you're gonna face troubles with close combat - Barges aren't that amazing imo.
You also have a lot of easy first blood pick off units and kill point give away's, but it can be avoided.
Capturing objective will also be an issue - 3 tomb blades will die, which leaves immortals as the only free unit to capture things, as everything else in the army is a pure fighting unit.
I'd be trying to make tomb blades a little more survivable with shieldvanes since they really shouldn't be a throw away unit, they have their uses.
There really aren't many small changes that can be made to fix the difficulties this list will face. But realistically it's a fine list overall and has weaknesses like any other list does.

Thanks mate, I thought the destroyers looked good, though on the overlord that was the only maneuverability I could find for him, and I thought he could go centurion hunting or something but you're probably onto something.
Should I make the destroyer lord the combat one and the overlord the buffer that way I can boost the numbers for the immortals and tomb blades? And is a destroyer lord still capable of the damage a overlord is in melee?

The Overlord is fine in this format, just don't know how sticky he's going to be. Every time I've run him he just stands out like a sore thumb and becomes an easy slay the warlord. In this list it's as good as you're gonna get though since you have no other good unit to escort an Overlord on foot, so I wouldn't worry about changing him.
Destroyer Lord has certain things that are advantageous, like higher toughness and preferred enemy, but overall not a huge difference.

Everything does look pretty solid but consideration for your tomb blades and immortals need to be taken.
Beefing up the immortals by even 2 dudes is a good idea. At 5 they are very easily killed by almost anything. The more wounds you have better chance they will actually survive to take that objective.
With your tomb blades at 3 models and no shield vaynes they are essentially free points or useless. So either armor or more wounds, both is better.
Removing the heavy destroyers in favor of more dudes in general is probably a good idea. I dont know about your success with heavy destroyers but mine is pretty meh. They are mediocre tank destroyers, too few shots to really burn down monstrous creatures. They always seem to be too little too late for me. But they do have value.
As far as small changes there aren't many with your list, as well as many necron lists at these points. With decurion restrictions there really isnt a ton of flavor out there. The best small changes i can recommend are removing the warscythe and nightmare shroud from your barge and your upgrades on the Destroyer lord. Use these points to buff immortals and tomb blades. This makes your HQ's slightly less power full but also less of a loss when they get focused. It also adds lots of power to objective games for you as well as it gives a lot more strength 5 gauss shots.
Overall solid list adjust to what you think you are gunna play against i say.

Sorry, but I don't agree with any of that. Destroyers are his only anti-tank (and they've worked well for me in the past). He might as well not bring a warlord on a barge and leave it in the corner the entire game, because if it's not taking a warscythe it would be completely useless. Only thing I agree with is maybe dropping upgrades on Destroyer Lord and beefing up Tomb Blades.

In essence, aren't all of his Warriors and the Immortals (given they're Gauss and not Tesla, I don't think that was clarified) technically anti-tank?
I'm a fairly new player and have only played against Orks, IG, and Space Marines but I've won all my games by cruising up to tanks and walkers with my Ghost Arks and dumping 10 warriors within 12". This is usually enough Gauss overload to bring down just about anything my opponents have had.

Firstly you seem to be fixated on a mech heavy army which can't be too good I don't run the Barge lord as it seems a waste as I prefer dumping him in a big squad of guys and giving him res orb just to stop your opponent from flooring that unit.
All it takes is a bunch of heavy flamers and all you have is a 4+RP and against wraithguard you got nothing.
My advice is drop the barge and the shroud. That's what 90 points max out those tomb blades cos for some reason people call them a tax when they are a brilliant quick obj grabber who can be a T5 3+ armour with a twin linked gun (tesla is probably a good one here) and scopes for ignore cover.
Also leave a squad out of the barge in from of it to give it a 5+ cover for intervening and let it repair the overlords unit as you have relentless and you wanna be pushing up to there lines.

It might work in your meta but in more competitive games gauss isn't enough for anti-tank. Heavy Destroyers provide other benefits besides such as instant-killing T4 models and being AP 2 for MCs, Cents and the potential of blowing up a tank.

based off some really solid advice ive gotten on here for necrons, and the couple games ive played with my list so far, Id suggest the following:
drop the upgrades on your CCB if you want to run it, and just run it bare with a staff of light and gauss cannon, and give your destroyer lord a scythe and phase shifter,
then you sould have the points to give you two units of tomb blades with shadowlooms (great objective contesting units! and the looms are very effective when you jink)
and you can upgrade one of each of your plain destroyers to heavy destroyers, giving you 6 heavy destroyers on the board which will give you more of an anti-tank punch.
either way, those are just some suggestions but the list looks like it should do fine regardless. good luck!
