Model looks good, although the red skin is a little bright for my tastes (I use GW's Khorne Red for the skin on my Flesh Hounds). The video itself was good, breaking down the steps so everyone from beginners to experts can understand how to do it.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

"Lookin' fresh" and "get in there", is this a video about body building or painting miniatures?

I've been doing this exact technique with orks for years. I didn't watch the whole video so maybe you meantioned this but you can also apply a thin glaze of different colors depending what you want. It give a neat effect to make color pop out more and hide the dry brush work.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

For me, it's not the red that's the problem - it's the brass edging on everything. Can anyone recommend a brass paint that doesn't get claggy and horrible within moments of hitting the palette?

I find GW brass scorpion is actually pretty thin but covers well

I've never had trouble with brass/bronze paint. I use GW Screaming Bell, then a shade of Agrax Earthshade, then a coat of Hashut Copper for my Khorne models. If I want the metal to be very dull and dirty looking, I skip the Hashut Copper.

Thanks guys. In that case I might need to revisit GW's brass paints. I'm sure I had problems with them last time round, but that was years ago now and their paints have been updated at least twice since then! The Vallejo Brassy Brass is just too much like hard work.
