So the idea behind this list is to have MSU and be fast enough to get around the board and threaten things and cap objectives. While it lacks ObSec, I'm of the opinion that you can't really make a decent MSU ObSec list with Necrons without sacrificing a lot to get there. This hopes to win games by attrition with the 4+ RP while also having a variety of units that can spread across the board quickly.

Decurion

Reclamation Legion
Overlord (Solar Staff, Res Orb, Phase Shifter)
Immortals x5 (Gauss)
Immortals x5 (Gauss)
Warriors x10
Warriors x10
Tomb Blades x5 (Shield Vanes, Nebuloscope)
Tomb Blades x5 (Shield Vanes, Nebuloscope)
Tomb Blades x5 (Shield Vanes, Nebuloscope)

Canoptek Harvest
Spyder
Scarabs x4
Wraiths x5 (Whip Coils)

Canoptek Harvest
Spyder
Scarabs x3
Wraiths x5 (Whip Coils)

Deathmarks x5

Deathmarks x5

Deathmarks x5

1845/1850

16 separate units, all with 4+ RP (well, most, all if the Spyders are around) and all of them relatively fast aside from the Troops and Spyders. Deathmarks can DS to important targets or intercept Drop Pods/DEldar shenanigans.

I might consider swapping the Overlord for Nemesor Zahndrekh. While the Res Orb/Solar Staff brings more support to a unit, Zahndrekh's bag of tricks could be useful to bring in/deny some Reserves. Also, I could drop the extra unit of Immortals to max out the two Harvest Wraiths, but I thought another unit might be a bit better.

Hoping that target saturation, mobility, decent guns, and Wraiths will be enough to stand up against decent lists.

Comments/criticism?

While I'm not usually a fan of MSU lists, this list is quite good.

The changes I'd make are only my preference, by no means do you HAVE to. What I'd do is I'd drop one unit of Immortals to max the Spyders and add Particle Beamers to one unit of Tomb Blades. You'll have 6 points left over, so I would also pick up Zandrekh.

I'd pick up Zandrekh regardless. As you said he doesn't help the unit he's in as much, but he'll win you objective based games by picking tactical warlord traits. This is an army that can grab practically any objective it wants and fielding Zandrekh plays to that advantage quite well.

Ah, I hadn't considered giving some Particle Beamers to the Tomb Blades. I think Gauss is better overall, but if we're talking three units, I think one could tote around the small blasts while the others have Gauss.

Another thing to consider is using a bargeLord as a fast objective grabber

Working on it

I would drop 2 units of death marks and pick up flayed ones

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator

It's possible to fit two harvests and a destroyer cult into an 1850 point decurion, even with 9 tomb blades. Just saying.

Number = Legion

I totally would if I had another character to add as the Warlord. But I really am loathe to bring a CCB as the Warlord, since he's very likely to just get killed while he runs off solo. He would make a good support for the Tomb Blades, though.

Hm... maybe. Deathmarks might be a bit more reliable... but Flayed Ones have a lot going for them too.

If I drop one of the Wraith units down to 5 and lose one unit of Deathmarks, I can bring 10 Flayed Ones to Outflank or Infiltrate, keeping the same overall number of units but having another powerful Assault unit to scare anything short of T8. Good suggestion!

Hmm... you could, I suppose. It would then come down to balancing the amount of Wraiths to if you want Heavy Destroyers or not. You could do something like 2 Harvests with 5 stock Wraiths each, and then a DCult with just basic Destroyers and a DLord with Warscythe (or Voidreaper) and Phase Shifter.

It then comes down to whether you think Deathmarks (with slightly better Wraiths) or Destroyers are more effective in this situation. Both can Deep Strike. Deathmarks can Rend and can intercept Drop Pods. Destroyers have AP3 and jump around with Jet Pack. So it's a bit of a toss up.

Interesting to think about, though, thanks!

I will support the flayed ones suggestion. I have NEVER regretted taking flayed ones in a Decurion, they are epic troop maulers and light armor busters.

The only thing about Flayed Ones in this list is that there's already two Harvests for Assault, FOs feel a bit redundant. If I was only running one Harvest, I'd put them in for sure. As it is, more guns feels better.
