Ever seen that tanky unit of ogryn and be scared of it?
I wanted that but more of a unique army so I did militia from tempest book
Hq- Force Commander warlord trait: Connoisseur of Alien Curios ( IWND, fear )
-Power armor
-power weapon
-muster of worlds(for everyone): abhuman helots (+1 T, -1 I), Surviors of the dark age (+1 armor save, can buy advanced weps and rhinos/land raiders)
-iron halo
-Melta bombs
-200 points
X2 Imperials Militia Grenadier Squad (10 man)
-Rhino
- las rifle (30" lasgun)
-advanced weps (+1S for las weps)
- 2 Melta guns
-Vexilla
Serg: power wep, Melta bombs
-185
Auxillia Ogryn Brute Squad (8man)
-3 boarding shields
-2 las cutters
-3 power weps
-carapace armor
-430
Plan but Warlord in ogryn units move and run till close enough to charge, I think there tough enough being T6 +3 armor. Other guys just hold and take objective and go pew pew at tanks and 2+ armor save guys

Looks nice.
I wouldn't take lascutters on the ogryns, because that many attacks is too good to lose - a power axe is still S6 AP2, and you get 4 attacks per model with them!
I'd try to find points for discipline collars and a discipline master. A melee unit - especially one whose durability is built on having many wounds to lose - has to be able to pass a morale check after losing combat, and imperialis militia leadership is.....well....kind of arse.
Add this to your initiative penalty, and one round of failing a morale check (let's say a dreadnought or similar, or something that prevents you striking effectively with Invisibility or Fear), and your 400 point unit gets killed in a sweeping advance.
For 30 points - 20 for the discipline master, 10 for collars - and you go from Ld8 (assuming that's where your force commander goes), which will be at at least -1Ld (because you have to have lost combat by at least 1!) to Ld9, stubborn, rerolling failures!
On a similar logic, I'd drop the Vexillas. Let's be honest, whilst you can trade rapid fire with marines on a pretty even footing, if your grenadier units are in melee combat, they're probably facing an astartes unit. Which will be WS4+, S4+ and I4+. You're going to lose, and it won't even be close. Taking discipline collars (which means you don't suffer a Ld penalty, however badly you lose) will probably do you more good than a vexilla (which gives you a +1 resolution)
Also - you don't need power armour for your force commander. Survivors of the dark age means carapace plate gives a 3+ save, remember? And it tops out at 3+ so no artificer plate.

ditch the meltaguns, power armor, and lascutters as 1) armored ceramite is a thing, and there are better options to fill the "high strength" slot imo, 2) you already have a 3+ from your Survivors of the Dark Age ( 3+ MAX can't get better :( ) and 3) Lascutters make you loose a LOT of attacks. Like he said above, invest in a discipline master or you will regret it if you loose combat once.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field. |

Meltabombs still work against ceramite. It stops the melta rule (which meltaguns and multimeltas have) - meltabombs have the armourbane rule.

Ah. Agreed, but the problem is that Imperialis Militia really struggle without them - legion forces get graviton (i.e. haywire) weapons out the wazoo and access to cheap tanks with massed lascannons.
The Militia don't have many ranged antitank options, especially because rapier batteries are (annoyingly) heavy support rather than elites, so compete with tank squadrons for slots.

Thanks you for all the suggestions, I did play a game agienst necrons, and won. I'm not only play against 30k, so Meltaguns do work and most people in my store don't buy cremite.
He had 2 monoliths, 30 warriors and 6 snipers and come characters. I think the list worked pretty well
