Simply judging by their choice to have the trailer be Jeff Goldblum goldbluming.... well uh... I'm in.
This looks way better than it has any right to be.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.
I'll probably skip this one because it doesn't look that good at all. It looks like essentially the same movie, only this time we kinda know they're coming and we have laser guns.

I think it looks pretty good! I remember watching the last one on the 4th when it first released.

"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
The first one is still one of my favorite movies ever. If this one is even half as good I will be happy. The trailer seems OK. No huge red flags at least.
I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this movie. It may be good, it may be bad... or it may be a movie where if you squint your eyes and tilt your head you can pretend it's the X-COM feature film.
Emperor's Eagles (undergoing Chapter reorganization)
Caledonian 95th (undergoing regimental reorganization)
Thousands Sons (undergoing Warband re--- wait, are any of my 40K armies playable?)

I haven't looked online at casting or anything, but I would think that there's still the possibility of Will Smith being in there.

Meh. His best days are behind him I think. Most of his more recent stuff is gak.

Nope.
His character died in a training accident. They spilled the beans on a viral marketing website.

EDIT- Of course, it's certainly always possible that it might just be a red herring.

So did the first one. Man, who knew Randy Quaid was actually playing himself in that movie?
Was he the one with the massively annoying voice? When I was young I actually felt bad that I enjoyed how he died in the movie. Just meant I didn't have to hear his grating voice anymore.

They probably couldn't afford him. Another strange thing is that they're bringing back Brent Spiner. Didn't his character die in the first one?
Will Smith asked for 25 million per film (when they were filming two sequels back to back), which they wouldn't pay. Rumour is he asked for that much because he didn't want to do them after the failure of After Earth and knew they wouldn't pay.
Dean Devlin said that Okun was in a coma after being strangled by the alien, not dead. Basicallly made it up on the spot when he said he wanted to bring Brent Spiner back.
Earth had better hope that the aliens haven't had their flu vaccination this time around

I quite like the idea that we looted the crap out of the aliens technology when we beat them lol. Don't appear to have their shield tech though from the look of things

His character is dead. There was a scene in the trailer that showed a news clip of his death in an accident, working with the new alien/human aircraft.
Indeed, you can't have a movie where the bad guys just hit the planet with mass drivers until there's nothing left. Where's the cool in that?

Well, yeah, it's the same reasoning behind 40k. Awesome technology with weapons capable of destroying entire solar systems with one shot, naw, let me run up and hit something with a sword.
Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do
