Also, because feth my ability to type on my Iphone is bad, the chapter is named the Dawn Striders. Also, bringing some gaurd to help shore up the flanks, and hopefully a baneblade varient or two if I can finally figure out which is which .

I am the New Order, consisting of the chapter, the Hassassin operatives and Inquisitor Raela

I am a Scion recon battalion, with some airborne assault support for when things need a punching

I'm the slave-trading, dirge-bombing, Necrons of the Kageros Dynasty. I also have a Tau sept I might bring in at a later time, but thats another story for another time.

I used to be half of the Ultramarines 2nd Company and the Cadian 13th. Then I took an arrow to the knee.

I still use them, but my time is spent now co-ordinating other people's actions, and introducing new threats to the factions.

You can just say something like "Contacting Crusade Command" or something like that. It's what I did

Wk... What would you say the New Order would work as for Chapter tactics on the Tabletop. I can't decide between UM and RG

Since when did I become to go-to guy for fluff and advice? First Kharne now you?

Anyway. I would probably say UM (and not because I'm a UM player myself). From what I've seen of the New Order they like to be adaptable, which I believe is represented decently by UM tactics. RG tactics aren't bad mind you, I just believe that UM would be more conducive to how they appear to operate (at least in my eyes)

Just a second opinion

I say UM because of adaptability and RG because of the Hassassins and the general sneakiness

UM. It's the most widely followed doctrine in 40k lore, and is better on the tabletop as well.

Speaking of which, and seeing as we're off topic, your characters in the Crusade. If you use them in game, what do you use them as?

I'll say UM again. Adaptability seems to be the modus operandi of the New Order, only do RG if you're going for a Hassassin themed force. (I.e. 10th company detachment)

I do a combination of IH and RG, with a spattering of Manders and IF when the other players get mad at me fpr smash fething them

Alright... Now to find counterparts for Sylus, Ryus and a few others...

Actually Sylus could make sense as Calgar (because dem powerfists) or Cassius (tough as nails)

I really do want to get involved, but I'm a bit at a loss with what - I'm a huge fan of forum RP'ing and the like (been doing it for the past 3 or so years now), but it seems that AL are out of the picture and more IW wouldn't really make sense considering there's already a whole bunch of 'em. Any ideas?

Death Guard? I'd like some Nurgle around here, if you want CSM. Traitor Guard would work too. There is a Slaneeshi infested planet, so you could get some Emperor's Children here too. Not sure, but those are some suggestions for Chaos.

Ohh, traitor guard could be pretty cool.

We could use some more Chaos players. We have Ashiraya's Glaciar Serpents (but they haven't shown up for a while). We have Ezra's Remnants (also haven't shown up for a while), and we have 2BJ1's Iron Warriors (who are now gearing up for a slap fest with my Eldar). I say if you want to play Chaos (whether CSM or Traitor Guard, or even both) then go for it!

Gallus as a Tempestor Prime with a Power fist and plasma pistol, but that would be seriously crippling myself point wise on a faction that's already rather bad on the TT, whereas Riley would be a Tempestor Prime with a mastercrafted hellgun+auxiliary grenade launcher, if such a thing was possible.

I use Julius as a Chapter Master with a Storm Shield and Burning Blade. I downgraded the blade to a Relic Blade for the purposes of the Crusade

Hi, just popping in to let you all know I'm still alive... somewhat at least

Good to see some new blood coming into the thread, although I'm having trouble keeping track of everyone, I'll have some catching up to do once I get real life sorted a bit

Anyways, for those new bloods who have no idea who I'm writing in this Crusade, here's the brief summary of both my forces:

- Death Ravens: loyalist Space Marines, descendants from the Raven Guard. Haven't gotten much screentime yet, but I'm hoping to change that in the near future. Have spent most of the time they've been in the system failing to apprehend the Remnants, getting their scouts lost on the FIRST PLANET THEY LANDED ON, and capturing the grand total of one planet.

So yeah, these guys are going to need a LOT more screentime to fix their reputation

- the Remnants: once the grandest trolls in this part of the galaxy, but have now conceded said place to the New Order. A Chaos warband with strange motives and an unusual habit of visiting people's heads, responsible for numerous incidents across the system, they are a force to be reckoned with, more because they tend to pop in unannounced to confuse everyone rather than as actual physical threat.


Currently, both forces are taking their sweet time twiddling their thumbs around in space, but for what it's worth, I do have an idea of how their plot is going to continue. I'm very busy at the moment with real life stuff, but I hope to return soon to keep this great crusade alive and kicking!
