Having trouble figuring out what range weapon to place on this Carnifex.

They Scything Talons are nice.

His other two options are Bio-Plasma or Stranglethorn Cannon (I'm assuming it can not have both and must take one or the other)

What range weapon is better? The Stranglethorn sounds nice but the Bio-Plasma had more strength behind it (6 vs 5).

For now putting him together is on hold until a range weapon is chosen.

If you want him to be run as The Beast of Phodia he has set wargear.

Stranglethorn Cannon, Scything Talons, Bio Plasma.

Unless something has changed, I don't see that he has any options.

Can he actually have all 3 on him? Didn't think he had enough arm slots unless you put each range on slot 3 and 4 (1 and 2 are for the Talons)

Bio-Plasma isn't an arm gun, they spit it from their mouth.

So arms would be scything talons and the stranglethorn cannon

Ah, I'm still new to Nids so had no idea that the Bio Plasma was not an actual part to place on him. Thanks for the info then.

No problem, Bio Plasma used to give them a nickname in the fluff called "Screamer Killers" because of the sound it made when they spit it if I remember right.

Oh there is a head specific to Bio Plasma, I think it has a..tube? Or something in its mouth.

You do remember right.

There is a bit for it too if you want to get technical. One of the heads has a sort of gun barrel in its open mouth. That's the Bioplasma one. No one actually cares if it is there or not, but if you want to get all technical about it, there ya go.

I think i might see that head in the box, but if its not nessessary (and most people won't notice) I'll go with the head I like the best.

Thanks again for the help. The building manual (and bits) that come with the Deathstorm Box make it a tad confusing.

If you got the box and are new to Nids, just build to the datasheets in the box. They are okay, work well together, and in some cases better than than stock ( Children come to mind)
