Hello Dakka Dakka!

I was fortunate this Holiday Season to start collecting a Space Marine, White Scars Army!

I have read the Space Marine Codex and the WS supplement but I'm still uncertain what is the optimal army list I could take into battle. Could the veterans of Dakka please help me compose an army with my current list?

Here is what I currently have on my workbench:

1 x BaC Captain
1 x BaC Chaplain
1 x Contemptor Dread. BaC
3 x Tactical Squads BaC (unassembled)
1 x Terminators BaC w/ Lightning Claws
6 x SM Bikers (one assembled stock)
1 x Assault Bike (w/ Multi Melta)
2 x Razorbacks (w/ Lascannons)
1 x Sternguard Vets (unassembled)
1 x Assault Marines (2 Flamers and a Power Fist on Sgt)
1 x Centurion Devastators (Grav Cannons and Amps)
1 x Forge World Sicaran Battle Tank

Can you guys help me decide on what to equip on my units for a WS themed Dakka Army of Death and possible what units I should add?

White scars are all about bikes and rhinos. The terminators and dreadnoughts are not particularly fluffy though.

You could potentially run a white scars Combined Arms Detachment with Khan for army wide Scout, a command squad on bikes with grav guns and an apothecary, then give them another bIke captain or librarian with the Tiger's Eye (I can't rememeber this relic's name, but it allows the bearer's squad to ignore cover). Then fill the rest as you see fit. Bikes work the best on the table top as min squads of 3 with two special weapons (typically grav). And give those devastator centurions a drop pod!

They would have a few Terminators and Devastators, but not a lot as they are slow (they are more for tactical insertion). Centurions probably wouldn't fit in fluff for being cumbersome, you can't exactly get away quickly, despite what the rules say. Same with Dreadnoughts (it's an abhorrent thought, they much prefer letting spirits roam free in the wind after death than be stuck inside a coffin).

Bikes, Rhinos, Drop Pods, Land Speeders and Flyers. Basically fast stuff - White Scars prefer to shoot and retreat. That said, they are capable of using Assault Marines in warzones (although if a Bike can do what the Assault Marine can do in the fluff, then why take a Jump Pack?).

How hard is it to convert a command squad into a bike command squad?

Just use Bikes with a little extra Bling if you like. The Ravenwing Command Bikes might work.
