Before I post some suggestions in the army list forum I'd thought I'd ask here to gauge responses.

What are people's thoughts on mixing different armies together. I'm getting some skitarii and ad mech models for Christmas (hopefully!). Love the look of their models however realise they lack transport. I have been thinking to try and combine them with imperial knights and space wolves.

Now this would mean four different codexes. Wouldn't be a problem if I went unbound but would like to try and get it bound. Is this possible with four codexes? Would I be compromising on spreading so thin?

Any thoughts?

War Convocation (Skitarii, Ad Mech, Knight)
Champions of the Great Wolf (SW)

What you are asking is literally the entire point of 7ed.

Champions of the great wolf? I've assumed I've missed something, that's not in the codex right? A later addition?

It's a supplement for SW that lets you take elites for your mandatory choices. Pretty nice.

Great! Would space wolves complement a skitarii/ad mech/imperial knight war conclave? What should I be looking at? (Have no experience with space wolves at all!)

Space wolves a better choice than grey Knights?

Yes, they give you some more CC punch and get you some drop pods to ride in.

3 Drop Pods, 2 Iron Priests on TWC and a Wolf Lord on TWC would be pretty amusing.
