Hello all!
Just a quick question regarding Eldar and Harlequins. I got a large Eldar force in trade and I am super noob green and have only been painting, I am playing them for the first time next week.
To roll harlequins with my regular Eldar, would I have to roll them as a CAD? Or am I missing something?

You can just go unbound and take whatever you like or you can take a CAD of Eldar and use Harlequin formations to add them in. Due to brilliant plans beyond our understanding Harlequins cannot take a CAD.

Harlequins can't take a cad-no HQs. You'd have to use a formation or a "masque detachment" from the harlequin book.
The easiest way to field some harlies quick is to start by building towards one of the formations (most are fairly small, like 1 troupe 1 jester 1 seer, or 1 seer 1 jester 1 solitaire) and then if you really like them building toward something bigger like a masque.

Ok, so I can't roll them as a CAD to an existing Eldar force it has to.be vice versa. Figured that out as I was reading due to the no HQ's. Too bad. I would have to start from scratch then. I can focus on that idea later on I guess. I'll stick with straight Eldar for now.

If it is a squad of Harlies with a single DJ and SS, you can run the "Cast of Players" formation in addition to your CAD and still be a battle forged army..........
